Good points actually and whilst I have no idea whatsoever if true it does prompt the interesting debate about how pi's "value" assets and how the market does. We talk about potential derisory offer but at the end of the day if that is all there is, that simply is the mkt valuation and it isn't derisory- it is what it is.
There is a funny little story about a company called PCI where the "management" seemed to over value their respective assets compared to what the "market" was telling them. They ended up getting kicked out, in my opinion, in a somewhat humiliating manner when the "market" allowed what "some" saw as an opportunistic approach to succeed.
There is the other side of business appraisal as well, internally within companies, where the potentially "harder faced" BD guys have to rein in the "more romantic" g&g'ers who sometimes have a different view of "asset values" abdctgere can sometimes be "internal fall outs" about that as well.
It's a funny old world isn't it? Interested in any other povs whilst we stomach gaze and speculate, waiting for something (anything) value adding to shareholders to happen!!
All imho and as ever dyor.
