Totally agree can remember about 5-6 years ago telling the same to a punter on here off board that they needed a better connected "man on the ground / relationship builder" than the obviously out of their depth in situ mgt team.
Hope the Omanis can fulfil this role?

Not being clever just genuinely interested as I myself used to get similar "feeling" from the Hugh (a few years ago now though of course) but soon lost faith in such intuitive feelings.

Trellis. The difference on recent options is the magnitude granted and the very undemanding crystallization terms. Basically money for free versus working for good value shares and foregoing the cash in the short term.

We all want communication and good communication at that but unfortunately, our hands are tied.
I think part of the issue was Hugh continually seemed to be giving his honest (misplaced) opinion and we were used to getting a pretty regular video update etc. but at the end of the day it didn't get us very far during that "period".

The fact that strategically the company finds itself in this position is of course a totally different matter but really at thus time what can they update us on? All imho of course.

Just to be VERY VERY clear (for the lighter "headed" of us) I replied to the original post because I thought it most unfair of said poster to imply Hugh may have been lying.
Imho that was totally totally wrong. I may have misgivings about the strategy that he followed and the freedom given to him to follow that strategy BY ALL off the bod but in no way have I ever called his honesty or integrity, at all, into question.
He has completely believed in his strategy and may well still be right AND has also ploughed a lot of his own money into following that belief.
So to be clear, I think he is an honest and quite likeable chap who has probably worked very hard during his time at EOG.
I hope that is not confusing for you buddy and yes I had to reply because you were simply wring in your inferences.

It's down to "Simon says" as Hugh is history now anyway. Bit of a shame as I was waiting excitedly for "Hughs (annual) New Year "major" update" because as I (secretly) expected, felt he was going to found wanting in that regard!

The 2 points that are strongest imho are that it simply will not be much higher than the 20 p mooted rre takeover offer plus the Harvey total f up whilst making such a big deal about cos/pos, that allows crystallization of these awards.
Fiona making the non dilution point was a total joke anyway imho.
As I've said before and again imho, the irony seems to be that the mkt applies a "mgt discount" not a premium to the share price, which further adds insult to injury, to the ridiculously low pfmce targets required for these awards considering the starting point is so low.

Wtgr alligator this is crap and takes us condition 10% of the rre offer. There is no peer group comparison and the share price is languishing way way below supposedly true asset value of company. This is after the Harvey f up as well. A joke guys total joke, imho.

Disgusting non demanding award considering the low point of determination solely brought about by mgt under pfmce to date, compared to peer group. Imho. Anyone agree / disagree?
