Ffs go back and read my posts last year. I highlighted then (IMHO at the time) the main risk with the dev. Plan submission was based upon my perception of previous 'local and technical expertise' within aex it would be extremely likely their first submission would be possible to drive buses through! Imho they've got most things wrong or not as advertised time lines to date so why suddenly should they get the development plan submission (which is a relatively complicated document) correct??!! All this bloody talk regarding if this happens etc or this delay occurs it'll be the 'govts fault' is utter speculative crap!!! We have no idea why the 'delays' (as per OUR mgt guidance) have occurred and to speculate blame otherwise is simply obtuse! Let's wait the week or so and see what's happening and get some CLEAR guidance from the bod. All imho of course.

No im sure i read some posts about 05.11 rns and fireworks 'stuff'?! Good old aex mgt and all their (is it 3 separate statements now, I think, which I may have heard mentioned 1 or 2 times on here?) end of November 'reassurances'??!!

Tarry there had never ever been a Bhattacherjee / zubs plan. They simply saw the "man and the mgt" of Aex and let the incompetence continue, until there was no other 'choice' for Aex.

Hi Tac you're of course right but the avatar who posted it I used to jokingly refer to as 'mgt stooge' so perhaps thought there may have been a little more substance to it than just 'normal' (free) bb chit chat. Best thing to do is solely rely on rns information but it is nice to have 'some' confidence in less formal methods of communication as well? All imho and as ever dyor! Actually Tacuma I've always found Hughs attitude to be quite self effacing and generally likeable? The 'outlook' statements by SO though, in the finals (the back slapping stuff) were so laughable I had to read them twice to check I hadn't imagined them, lol, so get where you're coming from, with regard to arrogant!!

This is my take on it with respect to data rooms. VERY GENERALLY speaking, private oil companies don't make a hullabaloo over their data rooms unless they genuinely are something special or they're just 'promote crap' (aka lottery). As was discussed over on adv recently, again GENERALLY speaking, really decent stuff doesn't go to data room anyway as it will have been picked up in the license rounds already. I'd given Hugh the benefit of doubt because they have got virtually every play covered offshore Ireland and followed the stopped clock concept ! However that certainly doesn't mean eog have the best examples of those plays in the basin hence less interesting than others potentially available? After recent press stuff and no specific rns clarification (although technically I think they're covered) it does look like my worst fears may be becoming realised? So is Hugh just bloody naive and in love the the assets or 'worse'? Here's hoping they see sense over the weekend with regard to clarifying recent press speculation over the weekend? The only shred of comfort I take, is that hugh has invested a lot of money himself and is currently under water as well however, I know of a lot of other similar examples who didn't succeed either. Yes I alluded to this previously I think some other form of conversion will occur (but this was put down as similar only occurred with company restructurings) or they will sell simply convert and transfer these on to other ii's simultaneously. At the end of the day tax talks as well so I'm sure it would have to be structured in an efficient manner. All imho and dyor!

Yes but as time and work (significant money spent) progress advances, you expect them to get more accurate. Especially with regard to third party finance for wells? What happened in interim between rns and informal chat the other night? Equally rather than a specific deadline other potential investors could assume they've just kicked the ball up the garden?! I am certainly not impressed to be implying possibility of 2019 drilling then a couple of weeks later say definitely not possible andcee now need clarification. This isn't a long term estimate, this was potentially a few months later. Anyway that's fine we have different opinions and that is all it is! Best of luck all.

Yes agree but my concern is, if we cannot 'trust' informal guidances or quick update of previous rns guided statements, where are we? I'm just shaking my head in disbelief really and hope there are 'things' going on behind the scenes that will provide upside soon but I know what my head is telling me. I think we do need rns to clarify no wells next year even though they are probably technically covered by what they put in rns a few weeks ago with regard to drilling in 2019. I think it pushes bounds of "decency' to admit only a few weeks later that this was a 'pipedream'!! What weight at all can be given to their guidance now of confidence on drilling in 2020??!! How much work and costs are being spent in 'drilling planning and preparation' for wells that may never go ahead and get written off again?! Very very disappointed. On the upside think I'm finally getting better now though! Best of luck for all holders and for clarification, I am a holder, if people want to accuse me of talking down investment choices!!

I don't really concentrate much on eog admittedly but cannot understand why there has not been rns update to what has been included in the article below as posted on here yesterday? Is my memory failing me but, previous guidance was that eog were looking for some form of private investment for a well next year? Apologies if wrongly remembered but I did expect some form of official update after this article?
