With respect guys I think hugh was on full pack of what £200k. That's the salary of an area / country lead g&g person, not a CEO. Listen guys I've been saying for ages I don't think he's the right man for the job (and been castigated a number of times on here for stating that) but I really don't think he's been over paid if he's only on about 200k full package? I am preparing to be fully shouted for that because he's on double but from memory when I last checked I thought he was fairly paid? All imho and dyor of course.

Tacuma I'm sure he is just as 'worried/concerned' as all of 'us'? I've always been sceptical of these Irish assets but thats where we are now, all hoping Hugh et al had stolen a march on the market? In his defence he has put a lot of his own money behind this bet so should be 'hurting' like us as well? Antony the great Warren Buffet (who actually made majority of his money from reinsurance I think?) also said a lot of other things about investing in companies, as well as being prepared for longevity? I am not sure that a lot of his other caveats/advice are covered by this EOG proposition? Here's hoping though guys, which I assume Hugh is doing a lot of as well, considering all his (previous years of words of enthusiasm) that something is in the pipeline? I wonder if such a scenario was on their risk list with a plan B if it occurred? We have zilch idea if they are able to get production going regardless of govt 'interference'. If this were the case why not call on their excellent relationships? Or maybe again they weren't cracked up to be what they thought? Was that on their risk list or was that missed off as well? Tarry really seriously and for about the millionth time zubs were our saviour. We are simply in the ridiculous mess we find ourselves in because of the inexperience and incompetence of our own management. Simple no one else fault. All imho of course.

For sure the big buy yesterday was probably for serious return, not clipping the odd percentage here or there, especially if nothing happens this month because there will be a lot of 'jadeds' who probably sell up on the lack of news. Hence I'm wondering if the bet is based upon something unbeknownst to us? I know I wouldn't choose to invest that sum, in current circumstances, with this mgt track record unless I was certain of a crystallising event at some point quite soon?! All my own opinion and conjecture of course.

Looks like it was just the 5 mm bet purchase that caused all yesterday's excitement? Ie everyone watching seeing price rise prior to worked through purchase showing buying excitedly not wanting to miss the train then people inferring that there's been a leak of sorts? Here's hoping that the large purchase wasn't just to do with hunch about release of news next week in advance of the Africa conference? Saw quite a few old friend presenting there actually, lol. Yes I thought you may 'say' that CPerkin. You guys r such a jovial happy go lucky bunch lol'ing and peeing and poohing your pants all the time except of course when.... The initial deal was first announced when every one was running around screaming and banging their drums about what a pooh deal it was simply because they could not value the aex assets, then after finally realising there were no viable alternatives about, turned and lauded it as 'bloody well done mgt' stuff!! A bit similar to the current volte face when everyone was screaming... 'what November, why so bloody late????!!!!' . Lots of anger then to the current view....'what? Mav I'm perfectly aware of Guyana!! Two companies I used to work work for took very good long hard looks and walked lol! Very fashionable abd big money now of course! I agree they are in neighbouring block to Exxon mega discoveries just feel getting a little pricey for my own personal liking at said mkt cap. Each to their own though and best of luck!
