Looks like a fake Instagram account to me. Certainly not got the professional corporate comms look about it. The first post is bragging about a day’s share price rise?!
Something needs explaining for this flatline, don’t get me wrong, very good to see the rise, but looks a little odd that it’s sat/held at pretty much exactly a £300m Mcap all day, is that a coincidence?
Agree it’s odd Klunk. Also Power Logistics claiming to have a hydrogen fuel cell as part of their offering if you scroll down the page here: https://www.powerlog.co.uk/our-services/sustainableinitiatives/
I also note the Utilities Manager, Andy Welch at Ex E started in Jan (pictured with AB and our AFC demo in July), but is also still in post for Aquafuels Research who do/did power FormulaE with low emissions generator systems (in portable shipping containers). But surely this isn’t the back up as the whole point is not to have to ship the fuel around the globe to remote locations?
I agree, something is developing with government I feel. We’ve had the Govt. just announce their 10 point plan, including hydrogen. We’ve just employed a head of comms who’s also working on stakeholder management, specifically at government level. I’d like to think we must surely now be on our government’s radar and they’re very interested in shouting about this British high tech innovation success story, but perhaps once we’ve physically delivered commercially to prove it and they will then comms it at a strategic point to suit. With the new facility we’re about to manufacture/assemble/deliver our first contracts. On the ‘eve’ of Brexit and AB praising recent strong leadership by German Government with our delivery to Jülich Q3 2021, maybe we’re about to see some spectacular UK government backing here too? Something’s brewing and it certainly feels exciting to be in AFC right now!
Brilliant day today. And I thought how apt that the RNS on the need for and appointing a Comms chief has a typo in AB’s quote about the matter! This resource has been needed for a while and looks like a fantastic appointment. For all the talk of “what have Tuva been up to?”, I’m not that bothered, much better to get the comms strategy/resource right in house than spend (hundreds of) thousands on external agencies. Time for all that expensive PR will come!!
Also, I believe EE is about to seriously kick things off for us. How these vehicles get their power is going to be such a focus point, just look at how this was discussed only 19 mins into the 2hr+ EE launch video (ahead of talking through the actual racing teams, cars etc in detail!)
As for not getting started until Jan, there’s plenty of potential announcements between then and now, and certainly enough good sentiment. But huge potential into 2021 again when:
“...he will work with key central and regional government bodies across the UK in support of AFC Energy's stakeholder management, particularly in the context of the Prime Minister's recently announced "10 Point Plan" which heavily focuses on the role of Hydrogen and EV charging in the UK's plan for a "Green Industrial Revolution".
Absolutely ideal!
I’m of the opinion that someone (institution?) bought the c.17.9m off RA. That would still be under the 3% declaration threshold of c.20.3m based on total shares in issue right now and so nothing declared (yet...). Don’t personally think the MMs would hold that much to sell themselves.
Good explainer on the EMS (AFC is 75,000 as previously mentioned on this board) here: https://aim-watch.com/project/definition-exchange-market-size/
A reminder this is from the May Covid update RNS:
“Since the Company's last COVID-19 update in March 2020, AFC Energy has seen a rise in the number of commercial enquiries for its H-Power system...”
“A pick-up in interest from construction companies in particular to address localised pollution deriving from diesel generators, along with the UK's Non Road Mobile Machinery ("NRMM") emission reduction regulations that come into play in September 2020...”
“In addition to construction, several other industries, including EV charging and ports have also seen uplifts in the number of proposals we are working on at present. We are seeing a strong Government and industrial commitment towards large scale stimulus packages where fiscal commitment to green energy, air quality, pollution reduction and EV charging will further enhance new commercial opportunities for AFC Energy across its stated key markets.”
Comments made about talks with Govt... Is that central, or with local councils, have we seen anything mentioned lately?
Indeed, and my exit strategy is now a long way north of here I should add!
First post, a silent observer for 5 years since buying in back in 2015 (off the back of trading GLEN and losing on the scandal that was AFR). Can’t recall how I came across AFC, probably a typo, but after mining/oil I was struck with the brilliant concept and zero carbon future possibilities and despite an average now around mid-30s having bought up to 40-50p and tried to subsequently catch the falling knife (and ‘fessing up to my wife) down to 19p last trade a few years ago I just kept the faith on the basis that it just wasn’t worth throwing in the towel at such a paper loss. Nearly there and after seeing several stories tonight it’s brought back a lot of memories, with a sincere THANKS to the LTHs and posters on here over the years, not least the dark days down to 3p. Your insight and opinion has given a novice a great deal of hope over the past few years and prompted me to learn a great deal and further research my investment. I’m now just starting to believe that this is coming good, and so it should, the tech here is massively underrated and unsung. I might even have the courage to recommend to friends and family. Something I would never have wished them to suffer before now perhaps. As for the recent events, well I shouldn’t be surprised really given everything, but how incredible that we’re now about to power a global EV racing series as the cherry on the cake of a commercial sales pipeline. Onwards and upwards. Apologies for the radio silence these past years as a silent observer of all these posts, I had nothing to give. Thank you!
