The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Looks like two AFC containers there:

And AFC and AB given a good section of the ExE official press release on this.
We pretty much already have the quote/nugget you’re looking for:
Dec 2020 RNS - Frank Muehlon of ABB - “AFC Energy is uniquely positioned with their cost effective alkaline based fuel cell technology, which makes it a perfect match.”
“Like buying a pub for £2 million when its valued at 200k assets...”
LOL! Well in which case, The AFC Arms are brewing a patented beer in their hanger out the back with a recipe involving ammonia, which you might think stinks of $h1te but to holders and the (minimally) well researched is looking like it’s going to be a rosy brew indeed. Enjoy your BP dividends.
Thanks for everyone’s genuine notes on the Capital Markets event last Wednesday. I didn’t get the chance to see it live but have finally caught up with the full presentation this weekend. Here’s my highlighted notes, fantastic presentation and prospects ahead:
MACE - committed to no diesel fuel on construction sites by 2026, so up to and in 5 years time there is a huge opportunity for AFC.
Acciona - (minor delay yes but) they are very interested in the divergence of fuel cell tech over to alkaline based on economics. That’s very important to note given their relationship with Plug Power. And actually the 6 month delay to Q4 is resulting in a further improved AFC system that would otherwise have been deployed, hopefully strengthening the use case and ultimately, successfully leading to orders.
Manufacturing partners - DeNora, BK, Advance Plastics. Working towards the “scale up now to achieve the demand we’re expecting from our customers over the next 12 months and into the future”.
“The number of partners we’re working with at the moment far exceeds those we’ve announced today”... leading to “multiple system orders in the very short term”.
10s if not 100s of email enquiries a day. Focus is on partnerships and those with prospects for high volume commercial orders.
Not reliant on govt. support, nor will AFC be waiting around for tens of years in case hydrogen infrastructure gets built. AFC strength is off the use of ammonia and a ready made fuel supply infrastructure and industry in place today.
That’s interesting Cheekyboy, hadn’t considered that part of the RNS. “Upstream green hydrogen solution.” Coming months would be about now. Maybe that’s why we never actually saw anything about the production of hydrogen in Saudi as they hadn’t delivered that part yet?
Nice one 1johntique!
Yes, ExE logo was on it:

I’m wondering, now their next stops are much further afield, if any of this is for the possible E1 powerboat trial charging too, or a “legacy” keep-sake in one of the locations perhaps. Lots to look forward to next week I reckon
And with investing your C.O.O. is less likely to get shot negotiating the hedgies!
It looked to me like those two are already on deck. This is a new one that says “Hydrogen for a greener world” on the side. The previous one said “100% clean energy”

So what’s the extra AFC container being loaded on the St. Helena yesterday in Valencia? One is already on deck and a second one is sitting on the port ready to go on?
This site (and HL for that matter) has previous number of shares in issue showing at 676m but divide mcap with new shares in issue and looks like new shares are priced in (otherwise we’d be at 75p)?
New shares in issue 732,750,500
Mcap £512,190,000
Pps £0.699
Interesting that FTI consulting also picked out “remote communities and islands” as a possible target market. I was watching that posh hotels programme the other day featuring the Brando resort, seriously luxurious for guests, room rate at up to £10k per night. They use coconut oil biofuel to power generators. Wouldn’t have thought an AFC would be too much to ask (must be loads like this):

Thank you Staggers, I looked back for the link but couldn’t find it. Good watch.
I am not sure now who posted the Nov 2019 Proactive video this week (thank you!) but AB very clear re. competing with PEM cells on cost. As a further reminder of what he said then:
PEM cells need 99.999% (5x9s) pure H2 which AB said they were buying at £10-£12 per cubic meter.
AFC can use 99.9% (3x9s) less pure H2 buying for under £2 per cubic meter.
Whatever 2021 prices are that’s a huge cost competitiveness that’s starting to be recognised as per ABB’s comments etc.
Have a listen to this, skip to 18:57:

Sounds promising right? Legacy of new charging infrastructure at ports left behind in the locations they race at...
In other news, 85cents paid on Tradegate at 330k volume already, nice start to the week
Love this para. AFC are clearly looking like the right tech in the hydrogen fuel cell game. There’s nice-to-have environmental creds and then there’s commercially viable:
“While hydrogen-based fuel cells in data centre demonstrations is not new, positioning them as a commercially viable option could be enabled earlier through adoption of AFC Energy's alkaline fuel cell solution, representing an important step in the decarbonation of data centres.”
Gulf Energy tweeted this three hours ago too. But nothing new... https://twitter.com/h2techonline/status/1381295994575421447?s=21
And p.36 of the recent annual statement also says Spain for Acciona trial
The ExE fuel cell container hasn’t actually been loaded yet. The St Helena is on way back to Jeddah where it would be loaded back on. Izy’s Instagram account earlier today had footage of the ship with no load on deck. But agree this is more likely to be a fresh new order, hopefully cleared up at 7am tomorrow
