George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Orders are coming! To me, this was announced today to declare the partnership and make us aware of the contact with Ricardo. It’s great comms the way they RNS’d the collaboration here including behind the scenes work on schemes for Ricardo’s clients. Competitors and alternative solution providers will be taking note, and announcing we’re already pitching client solutions gives me massive confidence that a sale or two in any of the marine, rail and stationary power markets of focus (with “each providing enormous opportunities in their own right”) is close. Very close. And you never know, Ricardo probably cannot sell to their clients without a collaboration agreement in place initially, hence today’s timing. Like ABB, orders will follow. Great work AB and AFC!
Yes Haggis, looks like well involved in EV too. Also this:
https://ricardo.com/news-and-media/news-and-press/western-power-distribution-and-ricardo-to-lead-innovative-rapid-ev-charging-trial
It’s a year ago and not directly related to today but wonder if potential here also. Funding from Ofgem and was working with Western Power Distribution. Ultimately “ The location of the rapid chargers will be an important factor in the successful widespread uptake of EVs and should be dictated by user requirements, rather than network constraints.”
The link tezzer sent below is great, click on the route tracking and you can see the path - out now and heading straight for Anglesey (hopefully will swerve!)
More on what you were saying earlier Agusta:
https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/jan/09/norways-electric-car-drive-belies-national-reliance-on-fossil-fuels?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
90% of power from hydroelectric sources in Norway. End of article then comments on the 3,200 rapid EV charge points but still problems, long queues on busy travel days and points out of order. Plus the wider footprint of EV industry. If we can get the ABB solution with a green hydrogen source, that sounds good right?!
“Units for Extreme E, Acciona and Julich will be assembled and distributed from here in the short-term.” So maybe ExE not delivered yet (Dec?) and potential to announce this still there?
My £3.27 from yesterday has fallen off the list, helps with the average of nothing else!

Happy new year all!
I’m going with £3+, I think there’s such a lot of news to come this year, I wouldn’t be surprised to see further EV news (as great and as fruitful as the non-exclusive ABB will be), ExE will provide publicity throughout the year as the series progresses, diesel gen set replacement hasn’t even got started yet, continued govt. policy for H2, Alkamem is now NEXT YEAR in 2022 (subject to r&d still yes). And look, 25m traded in Germany post Christmas in one day where £1 was comfortably being paid and even up to €1.30, our spring is still coiled!!
And at the highest volume ever seen (albeit still somewhat low at 147k)
I love that the one day chart on Tradegate right now is just depicting a visual of a massive thumbs up if you look at it with a glass of something!!!
Might it be a possibility “they” bought RA’s remaining 18m, or a step too far? I think we’re not too far off news on some sizeable declared holdings from someone
Risky, for the sake of many of us, with that amount of shares, please do NOT set a stop loss, this is AIM and we’ll all be rollercoasted into it. I’m joking, but really pleased to hear it’s coming good for you after all this time.
Also, I must admit the BBC coverage is all well and good for shareholders as we understand and know about it, but it’s pretty poor in explaining the precise role and potential of AFC. So I’m pretty exited there’s undoubtedly a lot more interest and detailed journalism to come. This is just the start!
No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as any manner of thy friends or of thine
own were; any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom
the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

HL showing up fine now, 65.1p sell 65.9p buy. And a nice UT of £102k worth at 66p which seems a good sign, plus those larger trades (buys?) earlier today
AFC have previously put a downer on some Christmases past. No more!!! What a run up. Have a safe Christmas all and here’s to the remaining days of December 2020... Cheers!
Is there any significance in the market makers’ EMS dropping from 75,000 to 50,000 recently for AFC (I don’t know when but remember discussions a couple of weeks ago when it was at 75,000), or is it just a reflection that volume traded has risen a lot recently and so the size comes down? Does that mean the value of largest trades will be lower to stick within quoted prices, otherwise the spread will widen?
CAT would be nice too https://www.cat.com/en_GB/products/new/power-systems/electric-power.html
Great research Haggis, you’re on fire with all these articles! That’s exactly the type of network we can expect Iain Thomson to be at work with in his “& Stakeholder Management” title role, along with Comms
And to build on everyone agreeing on this, let’s remind ourselves that ABB, a company that in FY19 had $28bn in orders (revenue), has chosen to partner with AFC on this. Worldwide. Because of their cost effective alkaline fuel cell. Is it Monday yet?!
The logo is blurred. The ABB handshake photo is blurred. They only call out ExE in the bio. And to then comment on official ExE posts if this is a fake account can start to get out of hand and look amateurish. All publicity is good (I hope) but our new head of comms can’t start soon enough!
