They also paid a certain Mr Osbourne £650,00 a year for one day a weeks 'work'.
If they can't stitch someone up and pay themselves handsomely they 'aint interested!
Crows have a higher brain to body mass ratio than us, so I'm wondering who bumped into who :-)

Avalon employee (Andy Klassen) was involved in this:
Catalytic production of impurity-free V3.5+ electrolyte for vanadium redox flow batteries

Whilst looking to see if Avalon are producing electrolyte, found this:
(Quite a nice read)
Wonder who is going to supply the Saudis with their V?
"70,000-square meter factory taking shape in Saudi Arabia. Its opening in 2020 will deliver over 1 GWh of redox flow storage capacity to the market each year"

Lets not feed the pond life guys and gals!?
RK, I'm sure that Alfa would have picked up on it too, but the presenter, despite wanting to 'do a whole programme about it', showed a lack of understanding about the operation of VRFB's!
Hopefully he will do the full programme, maybe even spurred on by the announcement of the Eskom project?
Now back to watching an ex student of mine..... winning this round of University Challenge!?!?.....by a country mile!
bah....... not awake yet!

There was a BBC radio prog about energy in the future and I was very disappointed that in the field of energy storage they seemed to focus on cobalt, and the fact that most of it is mined in the DRC. Not a single mention of Vanadium?

The producer is Adam Bowen at the BBC but I don;t seem to be able to find a contact for him at the moment.
That's not tea leaves you are smoking ;-)
Cheers Ophidian, just that its probably a lot cheaper for the Moroccans to do it with higher grades (and some dodgy land grab, but thats a different story.... mind you the EU have deemed the Moroccan deposits as a conflict mineral so who knows!)
Sirius' hole in the ground is polyhalite, not phosphorus.
I believe there is phosphate down there too.
From trawling the USGS reports I think the Mokopane phosphate is a little on the low side (3.6) to make it too much of a nice little earner, avg us production was yielding ~7% content and the Western Sahara is considerably higher than that I think.
Middle front?

I remember looking into that and thought the groundworks were likely to be handled by ELIDZ prior to main contractors arriving?

Can you lot give some of your thoughts to the folk who are going to have to work over Christmas!
Border, I think that any consortium would have a hard time prising enough shares from folk without a massive price hike!
If the spreadsheet is of the sort of LTH we have then there will not be many shares available.
Safe winterval to you all, here's looking to a massive worldwide push for renewables in 2020. Don't forget COP26 is in Glasgow next year!
I think that given the amount of cash the city types bung the political parties, there is not a cat in hell's chance of that happening!
