Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Thanks Dragon9
I agree. The historic level of 3.x% was hardly the best out there but still handy for me in retirement. Reducing that to about a quarter is not what I wanted. Who knows if that level will be held for one or many years.
I also don't want to wait for capital appreciation to sell. So I'm wondering what to do.
Thanks.
May I chip in with an article from HL? It seems to confirm that things are moving the correct way but forecasts a dividend of 0.9% next year.
Any views please?

Jatw, I think I'll listen follow your thoughts more closely next time. As per my earlier posts I've been looking to buy back in but didn't when the price dropped dramatically. You said back to 1300 but because I didn't act and buy all the way from 1170, it's gone up everyday and now en route to mid 1400s. So market makers didn't like the RNS about Jackson and then suddenly they did. Crazy for a company of this size that we can have such fluctuations. I can't buy now after that substantial rise even though we might be attracting a lot of attention from Asia.
SurreyCarrie or others,
Is it too naïve to think that PRU would change the Jackson strategy given the market reaction? Or is it already too far in progress?
Thanks.
Thanks for all of the comments. I'm sat hovering over the Buy button because time and again a prolonged drop is followed by decent rises. Final dividend soon ish too. I'm finding it hard to press.
So much uncertainty everywhere and Pru focussing totally on Asia and Africa could either be great or poor. Arrgh!
Hi all,
Is the reason for the sustained drop due to world markets or do you think that the RNS is describing a potential equity raise and so perhaps some degree of dilution?
Thanks.
Trek - I saw the larger sells which seem to have been executed earlier but posted later in the day. No change there then.
I am pleased with progress so far as I am a LTH with an average of 16p!!
Today I decide to reduce my average a bit with a smallish amount but even then only offered NT with Halifax. I haven't done one before and I think others are wary of them but it worked out ok for me at 7.9p.
Strangely, the share didn't plummet as soon as my buy went through.
Hoping now for the good news on permit.

What's your view of the Twitter post referred to by Luke below?
DT
I'm holding for now but like to read about largish "ordinary" trades. Coach, that's £33k or so and Cookie we don't know but I cant' see either on LSE's site or in fact anything after 1402 ish?
Is it the LSE Site playing up again?
Thanks both. I did and am holding off and already down since I posted.
Thanks BBD. I think that most people consider it a good long term business, but I'm waiting to buy in to lower my £17.86 average.
Where's the bottom please and when's it coming?
I do agree that the PM isn't convincing but I thought that the Pru was well diversified ie Asia. Profits and P/E all good. So why the continued drop? Is it all to do with Trump and his Asia relations?
Same as gold5 - down a bit now on a stock which I was happy with and expecting some sort of special pay out when the company splits.
So what are folks thinking of doing now ? Buy , hold or sell?
Thanks
Hi oldabutnowisa, how do you feel today? Have we turned the corner? I like many followed lots of advice from so called experts to put a high proportion of my SIPP into good defensive decent yielding stocks and NG was one of those. Wow, what a mistake. I don't need to sell at the moment so could just hold and take the divis but it's a long way back to 10.
HI folks, HNY. Can I ask for opinions please ahead of the special divi? During most divi cycles, the SP drops below the value of the divi (and in some cases quite a bit below) and whilst I do appreciate the extra costs of buying back, are some of you contemplating selling prior to the special divi ex divi date and then sitting on the cash to spot a better buying opportunity, rather than let the auto reinvestment happen? Thanks.
