Calm down .some people on here have been posting nonsense for years,me especially.Its not a gloating,I can live on 20k a year.As I have previously posted long ago I have lost 2 seperate fortunes on the stock market.This share is like no other,anyone that bought in sub 0.5p should have made lots of money,and it was all guesswork!!!!I dont think that any of the LT holders are lying about what they have.They have stated it many times.There are lots of people made a lot of money here,and I suspect doing what I did.Put the money in and just forget about it(within reason) an AIM share is a punt.!!

I am very fortunate in that my GGP holding doesnt form part of my financial strategy(if you could call it that) My plan was always to pump as much money into Lloyds bank as I was convinced that it would give me a terrific pension. Up until this year it was going brilliantly, until that Chinese bug hit everyone(I got mine in February and was told it was viral pneumonia).
Fortunately I hit my 1mill profit on GGP on Thursday.I dont give advice to others other than say I am still looking to get out after the offer arrives which I now believe will be£1.25-£1.50 UNLESS the Scally results are very good.Then I will have to rethink the whole thing over again!!

I may treat me and the mrs to some fish and chips tonight being Friday.

I have a target as previously mentioned. 80p-£1.I may have to revise that by 50p following this weeks update.

2006 Was about to move into a new house and unfortunately due to my daughters boyfriend jumping off a multi storey car park in Gravesend ironically enough, pulled the plug as the sellers wouldnt reduce the price during the crash.I had a mountain of money sitting in the bank,so I decided to invest the lot.Got 700k Loyds shares and decided to play with 100k.Bought into Footsie 100 Insurance company and held for a couple of years.Went nowhere.With 90k left over I decided to pick 10 aim stocks add 10k to the pot and spread 10k over each of them.It was these.

Well Himace patience has definately paid off in this instance.I have also held shares in SAR for over 10 years but I am still underwater with that Turkey!!

It can happen if you do not need the money,but this investment has been definately outside of normality.

I think it works differently with Minerals as you can actually work out the value of what you have.And if the profit margin is around 1000 dollars an ounce you would expect to get 350-400 dollars an ounce while it is still in the ground.If the MRE States 20 million ounces its worth 6000 x $400 to us(30%) which equals about 50p.If its 30 million ounces its 75p.All based on current value of gold. But there are many variables. Price of gold etc.

12 years now and it was £0.0038.I too was in SOLG but sold out at 8p.Only a 4 bagger for me.But I have managed to lose a fair bit on the way.Anyone remember Save Petrol Group? and Afren. Both disasters to the tune of about 175k.
So I have come to the conclusion over the years I know nothing.

As some of you know I have been a GGP shareholder for over a decade now.My eternal hope is that Newcrest or some other big player will one day launch a takeover bid.Since the JV began I have come to the conclusion that this will happen when the MRE has been calculated. Last nights news has I think brought this a step closer. Wether it is just the Hav license or the whole company makes no difference unless or until there are spectacular results from Scally. Takeover price now at 80p-£1.
I hope this happens soon as I want to spend some of it before I die!!
