People seem to have missed the point that although 3500 manufacturing jobs will go at Honda and 44% of the parts that are made in the UK,56% of the parts that go into the vehicle are made outside of the UK .So all of the idiots that want to believe they are closing the plant because of Brexit must also now realise that other nations will suffer just as much as we do.The UK has always lagged behind in local content for vehicles,France and Germany are around 60% by the way.
Thats the very unfortunate thing Pintof Nobody is listening.........The referendum gave you the first clue,if you choose not to listen and just call everyone a racist because they have concerns about being in the EU as it has never really delivered anything to people outside of London, you end up entering an idiots paradise where from there is no escape until its too late.I think you need to read a book or two regarding the rise of individuals like Hitler and Mussolini and the uncanny similarity in circumstances between now and then.Remember we are almost there in Hungary and Poland already.
I think a lot of people havnt realised exactly where we are.Parliament itself is excersising its power to overturn the executive. This move does NOT reflect the will of the people as expressed in the recent referendum.Parliament in itself is acting like a dictator and forcing its own interpretation of what Brexit means while ignoring the majority wish.Whatever the flaws in the deal it did deliver on the basic question. If Article 50 is suspended MP.s who support and promote a second referendum had best reflect very carefully before doing so.Because this is how extreme right wing dictators are borne from the masses, and the febrile tensions across the world may just overspill onto the quiet suburbian streets of leafy London.
Good to see you are still swimming against the rising tide.I too had plans of retiring at 55.Even if you are able you probably wont do it,just reduce your hours like me.As you now, been in this for years in at 0.39p and have around 5mil now.Likely to follow SOLG pattern if find is as good as they say.(hopefully)So check out should be anything up to 50p,
Gonna make this a win double with SAR I think. If it comes off 150 year trust fund for all the descendants! If not probably console myself with a nice packet of Chocolate Hobnobs!
You know, its always good to have dissenting voices on any subject as you can keep a balanced view on the current situation. Joebop is correct it is a gamble, but so is buying Footsie 100 shares only to a lesser extent.I bought Lloyds at 62.5 a few weeks ago.We have the advantage of news,so far its good but there is always a possibility of it going t*ts up,as with anything in life. The only error in investing in GGP is if you are using money you cant afford to lose!
