RE: lull before the storm15 May 2020 12:33
I wish it were true but Trump has folded on so many issues.. Syria.. bringing the troops home, his animosity to iran is a nonsense.. he couldve left that to the europeans and blamed them for any failure..
When Obama got in.. there was a feeling of change in the US but it was another promise to be broken and obama quickly became one of the establishment... he probably always was..
So what is the problem?
I wonder if the state of the US economy (& the UK's) is far worse than is being told.. the US debt of $23 trillion, government figures, is the US debt (& the UKs) higher than that.. a lot higher and the choice for any incoming President do they wish to be the one that topples the US into the abyss or do they keep the party going with more spending and wars to distract the people?
Just a thought!
And yes they still want to topple Trump because he is unpredictable.. Because every noiw & again he lets slip..''“As of a couple of months ago, we have spent $7 trillion in the Middle East. Seven trillion dollars. What a mistake. But it is what is,” Trump said Monday at a White House meeting on with officials and lawmakers on infrastructure. “We’re trying to build roads and bridges and fix bridges that are falling down, and we have a hard time getting the money. It’s crazy.”
“Think about it: As of a couple of months ago, $7 trillion in the Middle East and the Middle East is far worse now than it was 17 years ago when they went in and not so intelligently, I have to say, went in. I’m being nice.'' 2/13/18 Newsweek
Which rubbishes the establishment but he seems unable to deliver the fatal blow.
