Hi H2, until we have something to buy or want capex for Ernist Giles ETC its better to keep the excess in GOLD, can sell at anytime and keeps value as you know. I would like to keep 20% in GOLD and when its time also to keep pending dividens also in gold. Better still pay dividends in gold or gold backed crypto, seems the way to go in the future. To use debt or not to pay for Havieron CAPEX i think it depends on the interest rates at that time, if they are low and expected to be low for sometime then i have no problem with controlled debt. The question is why keep so much money in the bank? After expenses, exploration and a couple of hundred million in the bank for emergencies i would keep the rest in GOLD. Inflation is going to increase, loans are going to reduce so we will be negative in the bank balance, maybe losing 2 to 3% in value every year. GOLD will keep rising for at least 10 years as its in the just started comodity cycle and with the banks now 60/20/20 (20% is GOLD) in the portfolios for clients, GOLD will not drop as it has done before from its ATHs so make hay while you can. Just need to find a SILVER deposit in the meantime. Just watch the DOW/GOLD ratio, when you can buy the DOW for a couple of GOLD EAGLES then its time to think about going back into stocks. Hi H2, not sure about the bulk mine (Block Cave) because of the aquifers above it, look what happened to that huge mine in Indonesia, 2nd largest mine for gold/copper in the world and now caput, maybe forever. 800,000 M3 of sludge entered from above the workings. Feasable mate, when at 2 quid takes 200%, at 3 quid takes 100% at 4 quid takes 50% at 5 quid takes 20% to get to 6 quid easy to the eye. POG from 4000 to 5000 is only a 25% increase. Persentage wise the higher the figures the lower the % to get much higher. Lateral thinker. DM

Hi Hope, i said the next couple of shutdowns, not when. The last one was longer than normal so i expect they can shorten the next one, same as refinery TA, they shorten if they can, after all its profit lost if they stick to planned time instead of trying to shorten it, not like share shorters i might say. Fantastic production figures for the 3rd Quarter, now take into consideration that GGP had a longer normal maintenance shutdown than normal, which indicates to me the next couple of normal maintenance shutdowns will be shorter so the next quarter production figures should beat last quarter by a long shot, as long as we don't have problems of course. I still rate gold at >9000 USD/Oz in 2027, just look at the huge cup and handle formed from 1980, as a mater of fact the handle in itself is a cup and handle.

When you look at the gold miner gains after 1973 to peak and from 2011 and 2017 to peaks, our present gold miner bull run has only started, though you could say the Gold Bull started in 1973, look at the Dow/Gold ratio, and S&P 500, S&P 500 is down 20% against gold, THE QUESTION IS ARE YOU HOLDING ENOUGH GOLD? lateral thinker. 3 week TA is normal once a year in a refinery but for mining where there is lots of dust and load changes then 4 smaller ones a year will be normal and maybe a major one if critical machinery gets damaged. Its all big stuff at Telfer. Lateral thinker. DM

Spot on Bamps, i quite agree and SD has stated many times its FREE CASH FLOW not Oz of gold produced. My thinking is that when we get down 500 mts into the ore body(By then, we might have found the bottom of the ore body) then a look at expanding to 4 million tons per year might be an option and also planned a long time before to put in the crusher and other means/conveyor/shaft lift to get it out as well as linking up a block cave. I have been in a class action for Equitable compensation for the past 20 years, even the government accepted liability and partially paid some but will not pay the full outstanding amount of 1.5 billion quid.
