Adam Davidson, CEO of Trident Royalties, discusses offtake milestones and catalysts to boost FY24. Watch the video here.
Yes @Crumpets.
I’m a civilised person, and I like civilised people and chat.
The Shorters are cowering in their bedsits wondering where they’ll find the money for dinner.....a Pot Noodle. Sad!
Sorry for the typo. Yes @pboughton. Correct
The 15% tax is on the dividends received, not the profits.
They make it very easy to trade world stocks these day.
We’re a long way from Gordon Gekko and Bud Fox!
Yes Tall Chap,
I've been dabbling in US stocks for a few years. Whatever you think about Trump, The Trump years have been good Stock market.
The US NYSE is more dynamic than our FTSE.
I used IG and it's incredibly easy to sign up to the W8-BEN form online.
This is a form that authorizes the US authorities to charge you 15% withholding tax on your profits. Like capital gains for foreign citizens.
I make considerably more than 15% of my trades there, so doesn't bother me.
I'm in EV stocks at the moment; Xpeng and Nio. Sound like strange companies but they are flying. Chinese EV companies with cars to really rival Tesla in time. Their stocks are trading at $72 and $55 respectively. They produce 30,000 cars a year each in China, 1/10 of what Tesla will produce in 2020, but Tesla's stock price is $520, and that's after a 5:1 stock split in September 20 - so in effect his true stock price is $2600!!
I try to stick to real companies, with real revenue streams, rather than the start up. Safer for me,and great profit.
Watch Xpeng, and Nio fly again today. The analyst forecast are crazy. I'm working on the low 12 month estimate for Xpeng of $150. The median is $308, and the high estimate is $381. I'm like to be a pessimist, that way anything else is gravy!
Here's a link to the IG W8-BEN form -trading US stocks application.

Hope it helps.
Thanks
This is going to fairly fly today. Expect 10% easily.
This SP will rise up to $5.00 over the next 10 days. Easy 25% gain.
Dow up 1% already on early trading.
Vaccine news and news of Trump acceptance of the peaceful transition to a Biden administration.
Wall Street love certainty.
Factor in AMC will definitely be showing Wonderwoman 1984 on 25th December whererever they can. They didn't shut down after Tenet, no reason they should on Dec 25th, now after Biden gets in, maybe hospitality gets another look over as his no1 priority is stemming covid infections/deaths.
But until then AMC will be on the up, good day/week trade IMO.
Nice @NoFear.
FTSE up in early morning trading.
Very positive sentiment for today.
60p close today......24 hours late.
Good luck fellow CINERS!
Its true @Smartinvestor, absolutely outrageous that the SP has only gone up 20% on this outstanding news.
Of course, this is because the MM's are playing their games, but yes, we should have shot up to 75p minimum and stayed there.
I know we're not open yet, but i fully expect Mooky to announce his plans (for reopening whenever that may be) in the next fortnight or so. If not for the Shareholders, then for the 45,000 Cine/Regal employees around the world, who must have woken up to this great news, but it been a bit of an anti climax for them.
We have trusted Mooky thus far, lets see what he's got up his sleeve!
This is the sort of headline Sky business news are welcome to print!!

Spot on MrZeroh.
If anyone's interested, i've taken up positions in two US traded EV stocks currently trading on the NYSE;
NIO
XPENG
My main reason for going for these two was they are relatively new, and Chinese sales only, except NIO which is also sold in Norway which Europe's biggest EV Market by market share. 1 in every 2 cars sold there are fully electric!)
Also i know other companies like Fisker, Lordstown and Nikkola are punts - but none of them have produced a single vehicle for sale yet, unlike Nio and Xpeng which have produced/sold 34,000 and 17,000 vehicles respectively in the lucrative Chinese Market.
Also you can buy in to either of these stocks at around $50 today. To put that into perspective Tesla is trading at nearly $500, and remember Tesla just did a 5:1 stock split, so in pre-Sept 2020 money Tesla is trading at $2500 today!
I'm long on these, for me they are buy and forget for a year, then IMO at Xmas next year be pleasantly very surprised.
DYOR and have a delve into this, the internet is full of info on both Nio and Xpeng.
Good luck.
After today's brilliant news for CINE and Oxford/Astra, i would be an absolute travesty IMO if we don't close very close to 60p today.
I know the MM's are doing their best to manipulate the price down to their and their client's advantage, but momentum today is with CINE.
I not a fan of 'the Yanks will save us at 2.30pm' philosophy, but saying that i would hope that the US opening will have a bit of an affect us, as this financial security package secures Cine's Regal US Cinema's too. Hopefully positively.
It's all down to when Mooky deems if a safe time (healthwise and financially) to open up the Cinema's. I imagine Mooky and the team are busy on the phones to the Studio's now, looking at moving some dates around for Q1 2021 movies, to allow a smooth flow of films from opening to Bond in April, where after it's relatively smooth sailing (upwards and onwards) for CINE.
Good luck all.
@Rock8, i've read your posts.
I note that you are on the sidelines at the moment on CINE, deciding on whether to go long or short, determined by your research.
I fully recommend that you do your own research in the wider market as opposed to seeking advise on bb's (for questions which you have already apparently forged your own opinions and answers to), off many people (including myself) who have little or no professional financial qualification/backgrounds. I've been buy and selling shares for 4 or 5 years, and i win much more than i lose, but i'm no expert, and i would never profess to be!
If you want to invest or trade, do so. If you don't want to, don't. Share dealing is a risk, always has been, there's a reason CINE is now trading at only 27% of it Feb 20 180p Pre-Covid share price. It's a risk, its just some of us long term investors, see the bigger picture which is mirrored by world events; Great results from the Vaccines, Blockbuster content being released, a normal US President elected, Lenders battling to to loan CINE additional funds.
You decide.
There is a lot of chat on here vis a vis the negative news released on Thursday this week, generated in the main by the FT article, which dropped the price by nearly 20% . You will recall the very same thing happened (an instant 20% drop in the SP) when Sky Media printed an article on 22nd October 2020 detailing the fact that Alix Partners had been taken onboard to steer CINE through restructuring talks.
Bearing this in mind, the newest CINE news from the Daily Telegraph article released after UK trading hours yesterday is in my minds eye Positive for CINE. It shows that advances have been made in working toward additional finances that CINE needs to secure its immediate future.
Let's see how the markets take it on Monday, as it looks unlikely that there will be any other particularly adverse news between now and then.
You're right Newbie.
If all the stars align, as below, which is definitely not inconceivable;
Lenders Financial package of $250m to CINE
Debt Waivers for Dec 20 renegotiated
Oxford/Astra great Phase 3 results when released next month
Cinema's reopen to WW1984, Bond, etc etc with decent takings
Huge successful Vaccination program between Dec 20 and July 21(for those who take it)
There's no doubt this SP would be £1 in July 21.
Success and failure usually come down to a sequence of events. I personally can see all of the above being successfully negotiated. The weakest link for me is the mass vaccination program, due to the unknown X Factors;
The Government competency to get this massive job done between December and July
Some of the populations aversity to taking up the Vaccine.
Other than that, i am much more hopeful today for CINE's position after reading yesterday evening's Daily Telegraph article regarding the two rival lenders vying to help CINE out with a loan. As always DYOR, and Good luck.
Excellent post @pinkeye.
Great point about the fact that, of course. there are lender; Hedge Funds and Institutional investors who are content to lend money to viable business's in time of temporary difficulty, with a view to getting a decent return on their investment.
No point in trying to show Shorterboy the error of his ways, he's obsessed with CINE, terrible investing strategy, this BB, and eating Pot Noodles in his bedsit. #beyondhelp
Excellent post @Pinkeye.
Great points made, of course there are business savvy Hedge Funds, and other institutional lenders who's job it is to lend money to proper viable business's in order to get a return on their investment/loan.
Shorter boy wouldn't understand that, as you say, he has tunnel vision. He's only in one share, and he spend his whole waking day obsessing over it. He does have a break about 5.30 to put the kettle on in his bedset, and boil up some water for a gourmet dinner..........A curry flavour Pot Noodle!
Exclusive: NHS planning to start covid vaccination of under 50s by end of January.
This is the headline from the article @Danosaur just posted.
First, i hope it's true. If it is I hope this is the headline on the papers over the weekend. I didn't think i'd be getting a jab (if true) until spring/summer.
You're right, things are moving fast. Good stuff. Good find.
Good Evening,
I am going to view the contents of this article for what it is. Great news for CINE. Us long term CINE holders always knew in spite of sailing the CINE ship through some extremely treacherous waters recently, he would not allow his family legacy to be flushed down the pan.
The extra $250m loan is perfectly manageable to the lenders, who see this for what it is, an extremely attractive, and viable business.
"One source said the formal deal announcement was 'imminent'. "
I'll take that as before the end of the month, when we expected to hear about the waiver news. Indeed, as @Prayfor says very close to the time we will get the Oxford/Astra results.
The future's definitely looking brighter for CINE.
Great news for CINE, shareholders and employees.
Sorry missed out the link from the Gov UK website on the latest advise on Cruises.
Again, please feel free to correct me if anyone has more up to date information.
I realise that in different parts of the world, Cruises have returned to some degree.
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cruise-ship-travel
Hi @Banburyboy,
I see your right on your three SP rise predicators;
Oxford/Astrazeneca Results
Vaccine roll out
Cruise ships Government greenlight for resumption (not sure that's been given, there's the latest Gov UK link below.....feel free to correct me if anyone has more precise information).
I'm with you on your analyses of the various positive points and their affect on the SP. I call it a 30% boost on news of each one (i'm not saying it will hold its 30% boost on each occasion, but that IMO will be the boost to the SP).
£5.25 in Feb? I'm a little more cautious - £4.50 on Feb 20th. How about that?
Whatever the case, It's a great Company and a share to be in.
Good luck
Good Morning,
It's nice to see some stability restored to the SP, with a baseline drawn around 290p, after the crazy swings of the last two days. Have no doubt, i was as pleased as anyone for the considerable (and warranted) rerate on Wednesday, but following that i'm very happy with 5% or so daily rises. Slow and steady upwards movement.
That's what i came into this share for; a long term, safe, investment in a company with the great and viable future business model.
Good luck all.
Yes Ian, even yesterday I posted saying I’d be surprised if WW1984 was not pushed back to mid 2021.
The decision last night stunned me.
The people at Warner’s must know what’s going on with Covid in the US and the rest of the world. It would have been simple, as many experts thought, to push the release date to 2021, but they didn’t.
Word is that Chris Nolan insisted that Tenet get released to be the champion of Cinema back in August. I believe Patty Jenkins has the same sort of sway with the Warner board. This would have been the forth delay.
They’re going to lose, because it’s a Covid timed release, how much is the question.
One thing, it would have a massive 10-12 week run in Cinemas worldwide, like Tenet, which would help with the box office. I see it making $500m. Not a Billion, but not outrageous.
