It's not the end of the world.
Firstly Cinemark were last trading at $18.22 in June this year, it's not recent. They've never been near there since then. We hit 99p at the same time, fully closed!
Secondly, quite a few of these films, Dune, Matrix, Suicide Squad aren't due for theatrical release until the Summer/Autumn 2021. The world's going to be normal then. Jeez Loiuse, people will be going to see these films, at the Cinema watching them in 4k on 76ft screens with 1000w Dolby 5.1 atmos sound (not at home on a 40" LED tv !)
Yes, Cinema's will be quiet in December, January, and early February, but then as the vaccine roll out takes place, and there are less lockdowns, the world will get back to normal, and cinema's largest audience - the below 35 age group, will venture to Cinema's again for the experience.
True PrayFor,
It's baffling to me.
Putting money on CINE today long term (1 month-1 year) is like going to Vegas knowing the slot machines is going to pay out for you.
Yes, there will be slight dips, and plateaus, followed by rises, but we all know the SP is only heading in one general direction......up!
Nice one NOFEAR,
It'd be lovely to see the short positions go down tomorrow and the SP take another uptick, ready to build a support line before rising up again on Vaccine/Brexit/Opening news.
Our Cap's had a good day too. Cine and Cap two Shares with massive recovery potential. Lovely.
What a brilliant day for CINE and her investors today - not to say we haven't been due one or two!!
I'd like to give you this analogy based on the current SP of 73p and the Feb 2020 SP of 180p, which is still amazingly only 40% of our Pre-covid Feb 20 SP. I haven't even used the consistent 220p's that we reached in Oct and Nov 19.
Here goes;
We're in an Aston Martin V8 Vantage travelling down the derestricted German Autobahn at 73mph, when the road opens up we can legally put the pedal flat down to the floor and accelerate from 73mph up to 180mph. 73mph to 180mph! They are the amazing rises we've still got to look forward to.
Congratulation to all CINE holders who's kept the faith through difficult times. You're going to be rewarded handsomely now.
True enough @Pink eye.
Save some of that jet fuel in the CINE booster rockets for tomorrow!
Many more people will want to jump on board tomorrow.
She's taken her time, but she on track now.
Look forward to tomorrow.
Good luck all.
CINE rightfully rising like a phoenix from the ashes (of October).
FOMO will indeed be kicking in, we're still a cheap share. Also when the investors see what will be the the Top FSTE 250 riser today - CINE!
NOFEAR did indeed call 70p this week, and special thanks to the Fool at Motley Fool. He's our good luck charm. He says don't buy, the price goes up!!!
Good luck all
yes @TallChapUK. US Listed Chinese companies had a bit of a scare this week over the delisting business, but in essence this is a moot point for both of these companies for two reasons;
1. Both Xpeng and Nio have had crazy rises over the last 6 weeks. They are correcting themselves this week. By close of trading tomorrow, Xpeng will still be up 200% in the last 6 weeks, and Nio up 100% over the same period.
2. Both these firms are already audited by Price Waterhouse Cooper (one of the world's top four accounting firms), the very same firm that CINE is audited by.
Couple this with the fact, that as we speak the SEC in the US are working on a separate proposal procedure to allow US Listed Chinese companies to be audited, basically to allow the money to stay in the US.
Trump signing off of this giving three years for companies to comply with auditing rules will make little difference to these stock prices surging over the next year. Both companies announced record year on year and month on month sales earlier this month, and continue to grow at an astonishing rate. For me investing in these two was like someone investing in Apple or Microsoft in 2010. It's the future and it's unstoppable.
Badly run companies should be delisted, but the good, honest ones will stay and grow. Wall Street and the big financial players make huge amounts of money off these Chinese companies, they're not going to let that go.
As always! Please do your own research, and i'm not a financial advisor, simply an investor who likes making a profit. Good luck.

Sorry, pressed the POST button before id' finished.
The moral of the story was all us long termers are here in CINE, and we're going to enjoy the ride up from here.
If you take a look at the last months share price graph, its a beautiful thing, plateau, rise, plateau, rise, plateau, rise, plateau rise. The market correcting CINE's woefully under-priced share price.
Good luck all CINE investors
Yes guys, CINE's been a wild ride over the last 3 or so months.
@TallchapUK said he was kicking himself for not buying more at 20p, but as we know hindsight is a wonderful thing.
To think this was 27p less than one month ago, pre the Pfizer vaccine announcement is incredible.
True story, I've got a friend who's a trader at Credit Suisse. He does very well for himself. I told him about CINE at the end of October and after looking into it, he invested £104,000 in CINE in his personal trading account at the end of October buying in at 25p. CINE hadn't even registered on his investing radar until i extolled its virtues. I believed in CINE, and he did the research so did he. I posted this back in October, when the doom mongers were professing CINE's imminent collapse and bankruptcy.
He sent me a screen shot of his trading account today, as you can imagine, it looks crazy! He's a lovely guy, said when he trebles his investment next year, he'll give me 10% to invest in whatever i want. Those who have read my post know this will be EV stocks.
Cinema's dying they tell us, everyone want to watch their movies via streaming service. Oh, Really?
I believe it's worth remembering that Cinema only needs 15% occupancy to remain profitable.
Of course, you'd want to aim above this figure, but so long as you hit that figure and sell your concessions then, you're going to be making a profit
Some people, like the Fool, seem to think that you have to fill up Cinema's constantly or they'll die a death. Yes, breaking news, some people don't like going to the cinema, they'd rather watch a movie on their TV at home.
That's life, some people love cinema and will go, some don't. Some people love watching Live Football at a stadium and will go, some don't. Some people love eating out in Restaurants and will go, some don't. Some people love flying abroad on holidays and will go, some don't. That's the beauty of life in a democracy - you get to choose what you want to do.
Cine, and indeed Cinema will be absolutely fine as Covid is brought under control, and the world gets back to a more normal state, as the more sensible investors on here know full well.
Thanks @NOFEAR.
I've read a few of @JM4TW's posts, i think it's more than just getting out of his bed on the wrong side, he's an angry chap.
If he can't see CINE forming a baseline in the 60's now from which to bounce - with funding now secure, vaccine(s) out, and Cinema reopening to look forward to, then frankly, to me, he's a lost cause.
@TallChapUK, you're right the market knew and knows that CINE was/is undervalued, at 35% of it's Feb 2020 Pre-Covid SP. I want to say it's still a bargain, but @JM4TW might get his panties in a twist again!
Good luck all
Good Morning Guys,
We have to remember that the market knew that every one of the vaccines; Oxford/Astra, Pfizer, Moderna & others were going to be approved. It wasn't a case of if but when.
We were spoilt by the very first news a month ago from Pfizer of the 90% effiacy rates off the back of their research results. Those 100% booms were pretty unique. The next big bounce will come when Mooky announces re-opening, until then we should expect plateaus followed by slow and steady increases (with let's be honest some small dips along the way)
I'd be absolutely delighted if we find a baseline to close at 65p (or above) today to bounce off again, as other investors see that CINE is back, and a safe and profitable future investment.
As the title suggests it's NO FEAR's birthday present, a green/blue screen.
Good luck
Hi @Imy321,
I see you are already invested in CINE.
Good move Sir.
You ask about any other UK Covid recovery shares.
I'm a CINER through and through, but i have got a couple of other IMO safe bets with lesser sums in;
NEX - can't go too wrong with NEX - Currently 234p, exactly 1 years ago this was 465p
SAGA - IMO another great recovery stock Currently 258p, exactly 1 year ago this was 702p
When the vaccines rolled out, NEX will obviously go up, but for me after it gets rolled out the demand for SAGA customers to go on (covid tested safe) cruises will be strong. Couple this with a decent insurance business that has brought in funds throughout Covid, and an owner who actually (like Mooky) cares about the business, and its future success, and you might see why i like SAGA.
But, like i say they're just diversified back ups for me. Of course, don't just take my word for it, please DYOR.
But you know, CINE is the No1 recovery stock - SP today 62p, SP exactly 1 year ago 221p. Enough said
Final note @Zedd - excellent post. You are truly on the same page as the most sensible posters on this bb.
Good luck
That's all good @Hedgefun.
Tonight you're seeing the good folks out in force on this board.
There are some undesirables on the board, but they're cowering away in their damp, cold bedsits tonight, as the SP rises and Goldman Sachs show their hand, striking fear into their little hearts.
Good luck with the investment.
@Hedgefun,
I forgot to answer your query Re the RNS's, the Norges and Morgan Stanley one's are simply MM's slightly altering their positions minutely. Nothing to concern us with.
Of more interest, as you will have noted from the posts, is the Goldman Sachs, raising their holding last week (Thursday) from 1.2% to 5.44% of the total shares.
This, again IMO, shows a statement of intent in this company. They, like us, know CINE's financial situation is now secure, and she can get on (when it's safe) with the business of screening movies, and selling large amounts of popcorn and soda!
Good luck
Hi @Hedgefun,
The general consesnus is the SP is now on the up and up.
You know after funding was agreed last week it went up 30%. It was then dropped down with poor economic news, naughty MM's etc, and we're now where we are, at 62p.
We're currently trading at 33% of our pre covid Feb 20 SP of 180p, and we're not open yet.
Funding in place, vaccines about to be approved by the authorities, a huge stream of movies to release.
This SP is only going up.
If you're thinking of investing, this share is IMO the best value one in the FTSE, even today at 62p. It's a stellar buy, now CINE has her immediate financial situation sorted.
Good luck, obviously DYOR, and this is just my opinion.
You'll be fine PrayFor.
IMO we'll hit your target and then some once Mooky announces the reopening of CINE.
Other than that, and until that date, its just onward and upward, hopefully with a shot to the arm (no pun intended) when the Vaccine Approval(s) come out very soon.
Good luck
True Sammy,
I bet they bought in at 52p on Thursday.
Great timing, i have to say.
Shows decent confidence in CINE. As Fun Investor's has just said (thanks) CINE's money worries are a thing of the past now. It onwards and upward to better things!
Don't worry Fun Investor,
So long as you're happy to skip this coming January's Birthday present, we'll give you £1.80 in Jan 2022...for sure:)
In this Bloomberg article from today, without directly mentioning CINE, it goes without saying that we will be one of the 50% of companies that will see a return to pre-covid levels of profitability by the end of 2021.
It seems like it's been ages but we're on the right path upwards now, 62p, just over 33% of our Feb 20 pre-covid SP. So much potential!

Hi Guys,
What we need is the SP to hit at least 65p this week to give NO FEAR a real birthday present, a green/blue screen for his CINE Investment.
I don't want to tempt fate and call it, but at this relatively slow and steady rate, even being pessimistic, as Fun Investor has said, it's looking good!
Good luck all.
