Hey all!! Iv only one thing to remind everyone about .. High dividends always have a red mark against. Just look at Vodafone having there supposedly safe haven curvy 40%. I know it’s a different area, but any dividend over 6% in my view has to have a question mark against it. Yes, I hold both LGEN ( having bought at 95p) & AVIVA (413.75p)

Hi Nigel, I concur with your views on companies holding cash in the bank for when a downturn may happen rather that return to shareholders through special dividend or share buybacks. Neither do anything in my view.

on PSN, would this Special dividend that is paid out not be better deployed in them buying back shares?

National Grids direction is faltering. I have found link to current brokers price target. This is based on current trend, but if Labour get to power god forbid it go down more. Word of warning Do NOT FOLLOW Deutsche Bank info. The bank has lost touch with market trends and the minute they have a high price target the next it goes down. Barclays on other hand I believe to be of better opinion. 835p I’m thinking on moving my holding to AVIVA a safer haven on current market conditions..

I bought 190 on Friday afternoon. Though I still believe there is more downside to this share. 5400-5500p would be good to go heavyweight at.. I now have GSK, AZN & JNJ in pharma sector. GSK is my heavyweight at 9.5%

This is the worst sector to date over 10yrs, stocks undervalued, and so I believe. Until the elections we will be going through tricky times, health care bill to boot too. This sector is discounted at least 15%, so we could finally see 1750 if things go our way 1-2yrs time, I do love though how I proved my broker wrong on advice on buying JNJ away back in 2010!

Thought I have a rub of my crystal ball this morning. Of late, earnings in US aren’t doing much for the market, though 3M gave a shock recently with a 10% drop in a day. On the RDSB subject, WTI is expected to jump today....maybe 1.5%, so hopefully by close RDSB be in Blue territory !

Today is Ex-dividend date of 4.75p for CTY, paid on 31/5/19. If held at 4.75p per quarter, that’s 19p FY = 4.5% dividend at current price (422p).

The company is scheduled to release its full-year results on 16 May. Can we see 900p again???
