Iceland
ATOME has a 75% beneficial interest in Green Fuel ehf, an Icelandic company with experienced local management.
Iceland, a member of the European Economic Area, powers itself through hydro and geothermic sources with the availability of baseload electricity for ATOME's planned requirements. Green Fuel has taken significant steps in progressing its hydrogen and ammonia project in Iceland including advancing discussions and memoranda of understanding with key players for power, land and water forming the route map towards full definitive agreements. Green Fuel is targeting delivering FID by end 2022 with initial production planned for end 2023 / early 2024 and building up production thereafter from 30MW to 100MW.
The choice of location of Iceland and of Green Fuel's project is in full alignment with the Hydrogen and E-Fuels road map for Iceland and it reflects Iceland's own domestic needs. It's focused pursuit of hydrogen, and the nearby growing EU market, including availability of subsidies and grants make Iceland an ideal place to manufacture green hydrogen.
Kld1 & Ecclescake - Iceland & Paraguay- very well called.
Happy with that. Onwards and upwards from here. Hopefully today can be the last day PPC is ever sub 2p.....
I guess we'll find out nearer the time of the IPO. Would be good if it was either Norway or Iceland. I think the market would look kinder on working with either of those two governments than Argentina
In yesterday's interview PL made it sound like the European country was in the EU, which would rule out Norway.
@AllinEoL- Thanks for sharing this video link
I didn't think PL was looking tired, if anything I thought the beard made him look friendlier. Was good to hear more about Atome. We've heard before that there are two countries involved, one in the EU and one in the Americas, and these will be revealed nearer the IPO which is still aiming to be this year. Until then it's guessing time so how about Poland & Costa Rica?
Was good to hear confirmation that President shareholders will be given free shares in Atome. Currently 95% of Hydrogen is made using fossil fuels. Atome will be making 'green' Hydrogen, and will be the 1st small/mid-cap company solely doing this. This green energy carbon net-zero market is estimated to be worth $10 trillion by 2050. Atome would only need a very small % of that market to be a hugely successful company.
AParky -Agreed I'll take the peanuts and pass on the carrot
NSTiger- You are right, us LTShareholers have paid through it through the mass dilution of this share which has destroyed the value of our investments. I use the word 'free' as thinking of the dividend of Atome shares as an independent action, these will be given to shareholders of PPC for no charge. I.e. Free.
Ps. Three trades so far today of 200, 60, 250 shares totalling £8.18. Maybe the market hasn't noticed the RNS yet, or maybe it just doesn't care.
The share distribution of Atome shares will be us holders getting free Atome shares. They might not be worth much on IPO date, and they might be worth a lot less than that after a few years of being managed by PL & co, but at least we're getting them for free, which is a good price. And you never know, maybe Atome get lucky and become the Amazon of the hydrogen world and we'll all end up rich. Probably though it'll be something like for every £1000 we've invested in PPC, we'll get £1 of Atome shares, so the only way to get quite rich out of this is to have started off by being extremely rich.... ;-)
Pretty sure the Market cap used to be double that, 6 or 7 years back when PPC was only producing 400 BOPD. Now it's 2000 BOPD, plus 2000 gas.
Oh well, sometimes unfashionable things can come back into vogue quickly. Let's hope PPC can......
SP is up 18% on the secondary market (ask at 2.1)
Paraguay news was due by end of Sept so maybe an RNS drops tomorrow with some very good news about that, or maybe there's an Atome update.....
Gotta try keep the positive hat on. Not selling out of this share without a decent bit of profit, so here's hoping that Salta delivers it's expected extra 750 BOPD, that Atome surprises us with something, and that PPC strike it big in Paraguay.
Trying to stay positive, but not sure my stubbornness/myopia is the best thing for my bank balance, still let's roll the dice and see....
PG- 3 wells to be completed by year nd, and all online beginning of January, adding aprox 250BOPD each = 750 BOPD. That's a pretty significant increase in oil production for a company that is currently producing just less than 2000 BOPD (probably- I haven't seen the actual production figures for a while).
Plus a chance at a Brucie bonus of 2 additional wells in the New Year. All extra oil will help the SP....
Agreed. Here's hoping for some really big good news...
Funny thing about yesterday's price drop, according to the trades recorded on LSE, there were only 4 trades, with only £600 sold, and over £6000 bought. Not a big enough volume to cause a change in price normally, and anyway buys were 10x more than sells. Hmmmm....
Still at least England have won the 5th test vs India today and levelled the series, but there's no cricket to watch today. What a disaster
the sp goes on another no news and minimal trades day. I've got some classic Ibiza tunes playing now, and Paul Johnson seems to capture the mood of President's SP at the moment; down, down, down.....
Oh dear, oh dear. Still as an Australian might say, what goes down must come back up again, so I'm looking forward to Paraguay partner being confirmed by the end of Sept, new oil exploratory wells being on time, under budget and a big success in Q4, and the SP being a lot higher than it is now before too long....
Can we see FinCap's calculations? Be interesting to take a look at the maths that makes this a 4.6p share
That was a bit of a turnaround yesterday afternoon causing a blue finish. Let's hope for more of the same today....
NicetoMichu- Thank-you for that post; cheered me up! PPC will probably finish up YOY. :-)
Well, the figures aren't a surprise, and neither is the markets response. The only real disappointment is the revenue for 1H 2021.
For the SP to finish up this year, we need Paraguay deal fully ratified (due end Sept), Triche well in Louisiana fixed (due Oct), some success with the 3 exploratory wells being drilled in Q4 in Salta, and a nice Atome IPO with some free shares for us.
It doesn't look like I'll be selling my shares at a profit this year. Maybe next year....
Good news that the new oil treatment plant at the Puesto Flores field, Rio Negro, Argentina is fully operational with savings in line with expectations at approximately US$4 per barrel
Targeted initial projected new oil production in Salta is an extra 750 BOPD. PPC currently are producing 2000ish BOPD spo an extra 750 BOPD is a huge addition. This should help the SP move
Paraguay & Atome moving along. That's nice to know. Hopefully one (or both) of these two can transform this company
Full Production figures will be given at end of August, so not long now. Hopefully these can be better than expected, and hopefully the SP can start moving up....
There's the RNS confirming the last tranche of CGC shares have been issued. They got about double the amount of shares than we initially thought. Oh well, at least it's done now, and it's another $165,000 into PPC's bank account. Onwards & upwards.....
