Yes just to add on KN-1 the original drill hit a compartment of the main reservoir and not the main target. The technical operations manager explained it in some detail. He also believes that it is likely that the perforation will be successful (not a guarantee ) and that that remediation will most likely still be completed before the end of the year.

Still expecting to be done by end December that's good news

They were lets say quietly confident about KN1 , geology is fantastic and the deeper section that they will be perforating was actually always the main prize but missed the first time. Nothing ever certain but sounds like a high chance of success. Currently market isnt pricing any KN1 so hopefully positive news there will help restore some sentiment.

With a binding agreement in place and a long stop extended to March there surely can be no other parties able to take over unless the Zubairs were to pull out of the deal or complete by that time? I would suggest the agreement was put in place for the Zubair protection to ward off potential suitors while things were being put together.

Unless somebody has truly taken a high risk strategy of jumping the gate before it has been opened, I agree with Pete that it is highly unlikely we will see CH1 spudded before Christmas but I can see it still possible Jan/Feb time and though the weather can be an issue, I was reading WWF were only saying the other week that migratory patterns have changed due to the inconsistency of the rainy seasons in recent years, so nothing can be taken for granted one way or another and we just have to take those weather windows when they are available.

As we've been saying for a while Tarry the delay has been waiting for the licence. The EGM going ahead will signal the line has been granted otherwise there will be no point holding it. I expect things to move pretty quickly from here on in.

Imo because they have not continued drilling with the 21 drill ready sites. I took a small loss but prices are looking good again for the assets right now. I need to see signs of action before buying again though

Mather I've held the opinion since I opened this thread and throughout the day that there is no guarantee that the licence will come before the vote but more than equally there would have been no foreseeable reason for the delay so far if that were not the case, so I remain cautiously optimistic
