I think the views exchanged go along the lines of - we are not getting any wage increases/sick benefit/family payments on redundancy/safe working conditions etc etc and when are you going to give the GL for Phulbari, GCM have promised much better things. Officials concerned are really concerned if you keep up with Barapukuria news on locals and power shut down due to pressure bursting pipes or dangerous piles of stored coal. It could be deliberate vandalism combined with management instruction being either incompetent or competent depending on result required.

It is a political decision not a financial one despite the financials being extremely good. It just happens that China and Bangladesh are socialist populations requiring capitalist input to keep them afloat so common sense is being applied atm judging by news item in. It is a case of how the socialists treat us something the Labour government could improve on too.

The SoD has been on the government desk and in their court but left there while the ministers took their %, naturally the systemic maggots are still around even if not active and conniving in seeing the demise of Barapukuria to enable Phulbari probably but all the new intake of ministers are making the right noises and China will diplomatically help the PM get the GL and Teesta contract awarded.

All the election promises and charter have policy in black and white and speed they have realised for a change is essential.

They are in the same mess as Starmer is in and need a bit of pragmatism.

The mms have a wide spread to put off buyers I thought so GP might be right. All the buys are delivered at mid spread though so I presume the offer is bogus and the mms fill at least cost to them.

Same poster but not ceteris paribus otherwise. GL will be given soon but it is dependent on the Chinese as the voice of reason to bring a workable solution to Northern Development. Irrational suppression of own resources will be reversed for Chinese cooperation.

It could be GP that we get GL before Teesta agreement if this is what PC wants in order for them both to be a going concern that is binding as our GL is the financing work. I speculated the other way round last night but that must have been the wrong conclusion!

If coal from Phulbari alone were extracted, it could support 7,000 MW of electricity generation for 30 years, and the government should begin domestic coal extraction and use without further delay.

Sometimes one has to exercise the rational side of the brain otherwise they will remain puppets via the begging bowl.
