I think the court case was about contested licence. Ethiopia is behind KEFI licence so water under the bridge. Old rns are boring irrelevancy and manufactured to do a placing and keep the project moving. It is a new ball game now with KEFI being booted in the rear to expedite and banks just waiting for final sign-offs on costings so they can fund as needed. volume of trades is ramping up in anticipation.

the recent raise has put the sale on a back burner and the operation is a very useful one to the saudi mining landscape but potential calls on development funds means participation is unlikely for kefi so difficult to value. as an on the ground contractor it will certainly command a decent bid and if han**** had competition for it if bidding then deep pockets could pay up for the licences.

it will take a couple of years maybe for tulu kapi gold to be available for funding saudi but at that point the gmco price will have gone way higher if kefi still own it.

Agreed that ratification was an issue which the Africaintelligence headline emphasized. A bit miffed that they had to be chased considering HAA's standing in Ethiopia.

A very thorough Q&A which bolsters confidence in the investment but no news about possible long term direction I was hoping for apart from production providing the money for bills to be paid as opposed to debt/equity.

Some ii funds have dipped their toes- nice to know, with recognisable names and one to be named which should have underpinned a rise in the SP over 9 months.

100% turnover does indicate a healthy business valuation upside model being pursued but I am hoping for progress reports on the ground to be the new model driving turnover and raising the SP as are the iis. The sale of GMCO would not have enhanced the investability of KEFI / Tulu Kapi Project according to the Q&A.

Nice work Mithrel. A negative result would have seen a rebellion at an EGM. I expect the Aussies are very interested in KEFI and the Sovereign Wealth Fund as it sounds as though the raise might have strengthened the most involved KEFI players. I await with some excitement for the Q & A.

The placing was not necessary but Stebo has been saying for some time how undervalued KEFI is and Ethiopia could not let PIs make out like bandits. We will still be bandits but of a much bigger company; KEFI will persist under its squeaky clean credentials apart from this last raise! but the raise rewards the deep pockets for supporting KEFI. You have yourself to blame Stebo.

Time will tell and quickly Crazytowner with signings imminent. I just think while HAA via the current SP is a small bit player he has had his arm twisted but hopefully with promise for the future. As a recent investor I do not carry baggage and am looking through the lens of recent Aussie players and Ethiopia and Saudi mining ambition and how collaboration will benefit both plus the educational and sweat equity HAA has provided for them they are obliged to honour going forward.

I did read that as happening and they are now complemented by a major new institutional investor. They are mentioned within the placing blurb and not excluded. Perhaps just diplomatic wording but I am convinced that the raise was not HAA's idea so the entities with some more heft are behind KEFI now with a worthwhile % and only the sovereign fund and Ethiopian government are likely to have been in contact with HAA to smooth the placing as I cannot see that they would have been pleased if left in the dark. Same goes for the jv in SA.

HAA has kept the show on the road at PI's expense and now it is virtually over the line and PIs about to make out like bandits it has been necessary to give a back hander to some power brokers able to carry the show forward- I hope! and turn us into a mid tier miner. It would be an easy ride to take and earn us more than before as a % of a bigger pie.

The money has spoken. The mine will need security and support from heavy hitters which it will now get as HAA has kept the necessary on side. It is parochial to consider things at the AIM listed company level and not embrace a potential mid tier miner down the line. HAA has not been calling the shots; even he didn't know that porkies were being presented by him recently.

HAA has not been the mover of this raise imo. The fact those who subscribed have come on board means the future could be very bright but they would not have been behind KEFI for peanuts and in addition wanted a buy-in before all the contracts were issued and the SP rise. KEFI will now survive to produce I would think bearing in mind HAA's status in the area.

The raise is for Ethiopia and Hanco-ck/ARTAR to take a cheap stake and us buying the heft behind KEFI going forward-never about raising money.

the only thing that suggests keeping sa is han**** taking a stake in kefi so they help fund operations in ethiopia while increasing their share of the sa joint venture. this makes their interest more aligned with kefi prospects being good in ethiopia rather than kefi rns being about staying in sa also artar looking over the water too.
