Knowbodyyouknow, I have watched 100% profit on paper in both ASTON MARTIN and DARKTRACE disappear in the blink of an eye having reached that point in 6 months or less. I too have learnt to take good profit and particularly if it’s made quickly as a share price cannot just keep going up or down (generally). Hoping we come good here as it was just a punt for me though. GLA

Siemens Gamesa (OTCPK:GCTAY +8.6%) surges 9% in European trading after it was nominated as preferred supplier by Vattenfall Group for the Norfolk offshore wind projects in the U.K.
Siemens Gamesa says the agreement, if successful, would include the potential deployment of the SG 14-236 DD offshore wind turbines and a multiyear service agreement.
The Norfolk projects are envisioned with a total capacity of 3.6 GW and would form one of the largest offshore wind zones in the world.
Could be good for IES if this happens?

With all that more positive press and opening looking good across the board, hoping we push up towards or past 220 again today and hold it. GLA

Yes Carpy so I’m quite confident in saying that the company isn’t ‘going to 5hit’ unlike a couple of posters on this BB is trying to have everyone believe! (Not that I can see what they say anymore :-))

Marty, Nella speaks good words. There is still so much disruption and uncertainty around the world both economically and politically and of course Covid is still very much playing its part. Has anything fundamentally changed at Aston since you invested? I do not believe so. This period needs to be ridden out and the SP coming back down is just a great opportunity to add more if you believe in the turnaround at AML albeit that will take time to execute fully. I’m still invested here and will be adding more if it dips into the 1400’s which I called a week or two ago. Will it go lower than that, who knows but personally I don’t think it will unless the factors I’ve highlighted persist to disrupt for longer than people envisage or AML themselves change their tune on their medium outlook. GLA

Oh and I saw two DBX on my doorstep just outside Bromley town centre in the last 2 weeks. One was in thunder grey and looked awesome :-))

So having broken into the 1500’s today, I unfortunately predict the SP will now be walked down into the mid/low 1400’s unless the company release some very positive news over and beyond anything expected. Whilst disappointing and negative in the very short term, it will (if it happens) be a fantastic opportunity to add more which I fully intend to do as I believe the company is still very much on track and has an extremely promising and positive future which in turn will mean great returns for us shareholders. I think the personnel, relationships, experience, work ethic, partnerships, talent and vision at AML are now first class and there’s so much more to come. I’m extremely bullish on the longer term prospects of AML and am not in the slightest deterred by any short term decline/volatility in the SP. GLA

I’ve taken the hits in the past with stocks, selling when low and buying too high, it’s all part of learning. As you say, you have to really be selective and attentive to what people post on BB’s as most of it is baseless ramping or deramping. Fortunately I first bought in here just above 300 on a punt once I heard governance was being addressed and then doubled down yesterday morning buying at 180p so happy with my position right now. A solid piece of good news from the company and this will push up significantly IMO. GLA

SP is up over 4% so market reaction is a positive one. This is a LTH but long duration renewable energy storage is an absolute must and key component in the new world so I’m very bullish on IES future and patience is needed here. If the partnership with SG stays strong then I think this has every chance of a very bright and rewarding future for us SH. GLA

Don’t you know? The USA is La La land!!! Just keep printing money and have a grossly overvalued equity market and all will be well!!!

Couldn’t agree more Seaking. Just got a shock seeing the SP down as it is, purely on a new analyst coming in at a ‘sell’ rating!! Nothing changed otherwise and shows how ‘twitchy’ so many in the markets are right now IMO
