Morning all. I was lucky enough to get out around 350p with money back but cannot believe the SP destruction now! Such a shame as Aston have some fantastic cars and legacy from cars of past but as a business, it’s simply not good and IMO, it’s the huge debt that has been the black cloud over its head. It just shows how damaging large debt can be which has only compounded AML’s struggles in turbulent times. Struggle to see any positives here any time soon and as much as I love Aston cars, I’m not even tempted to buy back here sadly but wish everyone the very best. Plenty of other good opportunities elsewhere to make up losses

Just to calm anyone panicking about the SP, the total sum of shares traded today is not even £15k worth. With such low trading volumes here, it’s easy for day traders to take this up and down so for the believers and LTH, stay focused on company news and developments, not the SP as that will take care of itself as IES starts to get contracted sales which hopefully will be sooner rather than later. Does anyone have an opinion on why IES Directors are not buying shares at these levels? Other than being some very imminent news that they have visibility on and hence being locked out from buying, I would’ve thought they’d be loading up given the developments and bullishness in IES’s future?

Ilivesushi - unless you have any factual information (with links) to potentially support your claim that IES is or will continue selling batteries at a loss then that’s just hot air and not worth the paper it’s written on.

OldTrader reply makes sense and is largely substantiated fact.

To add, IES got around £50 million of investment recently - do you think those investors would’ve done so if IES will be selling batteries at a loss long term (if at all)?????????

It’s bitterly disappointing to the SP so low again but I’ve seen it god knows how many times having been invested here (when it was RedT previously) since 2016.

You either believe in it and ignore the ups and downs (but buy the dips), trade it or don’t touch it!

This is just a taster of the sort of scope/scale projects IES will be involved in globally. Tremendous potential here but IES will need to show that they can deliver initially and keep up with demand moving forward. They do that then the SP here will be a distant memory in the years ahead. GLA

The SP has just been walked down again on low liquidity and no news but there has been no bad news whatsoever. Everyone’s just waiting for take off which hopefully is not too far into the future now

The justification section of the document states that the NRCO (National Renewables Cooperative Organisation) summarises that IES’s Endurium offering was the only one of four potential flow battery solutions that fulfilled all of its criteria - ultimately LDES alternatives to Lithium-ion.

Summarises and Substantiates IES’s position in the market perfectly - nothing better out there at the moment! 😁

Let’s hope this is the last time the SP is walked down by the day traders. We need that RNS soon please IES that confirms a nice juicy sale has gone to contract then off to the races we go! 😁

Simply lack of liquidity. So easy for day traders to take this share up and down and has been that way for some time. There’s been nothing but very positive news the last 6 months and not one bit of negative news so if you’re an investor in IES, just hold or add more on the dips if you feel brave enough! As soon as that first piece of significant contractual news is released regarding Endurium, this should significantly rerate.

Adding further to Toneman reply, RNS on 13th December stated:

Four ENDURIUM modules with a total capacity of 1.2 MWh are now in transit from Invinity's facility in Vancouver, Canada to Gamesa Electric's La Plana Hybrid Plant, a hybrid wind, solar and battery storage demonstration facility, near Zaragoza, Spain. The V-iOn project, announced on 27 September 2024, will see the ENDURIUM batteries installed and extensively validated by Gamesa Electric for use in solar and wind coupled energy storage projects.

This was the first shipment of Endurium batteries and the time it will take to transport, install and extensively validate these batteries in a real world environment will be a number of months I’d imagine and I doubt any deals will be signed off until the validation process has been completed and verified to the expected/required conclusion. At that point and armed with real world operating data, it should (if very positive) open the floodgates for orders to be concluded and many more to follow thereafter hopefully.

It shouldn’t be that much longer now until the validation process is complete so just a bit more patience required IMO

Fairlysolvent - Trump says a lot of things that don’t end up happening or get watered down! For example, China was going to get slapped with ‘60% tariffs’ but now Trump’s saying he ‘doesn’t want to have to put tariff’s on China’ but if he does, 10% is now being touted albeit that could increase but clearly, he’s not banging his drum as loudly as he was during his election campaign!!

For me, there’s no escaping the worlds undoubted needs for long term stable energy storage and Invinity’s solution is world leading. That need is far greater than Donald Trump!!!

Since Sept 2021, the SP has been on a downward trajectory- when will it stop if at all?!!!!!! People constantly saying ‘how undervalued the business is’ well then to a seasoned professional investor, they’d all surely be piling in and buying every share they possibly could if that was the obvious case as it would be ‘easy money’ but SP showing no signs of climbing whatsoever!!!! Genuinely concerned and suffering shareholder ☹️

Don’t see much of an impact on storage from a demand, security and continuity perspective myself plus he will still have to be seen to ‘do his bit’ on the environmental front IMO
