Siemens Energy up 20% today on strong demand and lifts mid term outlook. Grid technologies and high electricity demand at the heart of it so given IES’s JV with Siemens Gamesa and that in turn being a division of Siemens Energy, the outlook for IES of Project Mistral is all that it’s being cranked up to be has to be extremely bright. Just need the next big RNS here to be the Project Mistral green light and the floodgates for solid orders to open and move to production. GLA

Could see a class legal action by shareholders if the end game is that they get truly shafted here given that an offer of £1.70 per share was rejected given that it ‘undervalued the company’!!!!!!

Would be less painful than being invested here!!! 😭

As stated before, sell off was way over done given the cash and physical position of the company. We’re now seeing a higher number of daily buy trades this week and a very healthy climb back up in the SP. Let’s hope we’re back in the 20’s at the very least by Christmas. GLA

Who’s to say there won’t be another delay further down the line?!!!!!! You’re assuming the BOD’s will execute but the near 50% drop in SP today is because they haven’t executed on previous deadlines stipulated. As I said, credibility is now shot and only time will tell if this is a ‘5hit or Bust’ situation

But does IES have the people in place to realise the opportunity - that is now the question after this morning’s RNS

The market has made it clear what it thought of this morning’s RNS and IES failures to execute within specified timeframes. I can only blame myself for continuing to believe in IES after the RedT farce but it’s a mistake I’ll never repeat again when investing in a company

And all the rats crawl out of their holes!!! Biggest takeaway from this morning’s RNS is that the BoD’s credibility is severely damaged and anything they ‘project’ can only be taken with a pinch of salt now. As I said previously, they have to restore that credibility and the only way that happens is by being on point every step of the way from here and delivering product and contracts as forecast. This feels like a coin flip again right now

Richard08. Can’t agree it’s a shame to see Larry go. He absolutely had to go as given this morning’s RNS. His immediate departure is the admission of his failure as CEO to deliver as guided to date. Hopefully the new CEO will be able to rally the troops and get everyone to up their game as everything has to be on point now. No more excuses, no more missing guidance.

I’m not so concerned on the order front as the sales pipeline has been detailed previously and given Mistral was scheduled to launch later this year (but now pushed back), a lot of customers would’ve been waiting to contract to the Mistral product I would’ve thought so on that basis, I do not expect much in the way of sales to be announced until next year now. It’s just another failure in a long line since RedT days 😔

And it’s no coincidence Larry has retired with immediate effect IMO
