I refreshed my Google screen just at the moment of the spike - saw 265p and had a wtf moment. Refreshed again and it was 160p odd - I had a ffs moment ... lol.

MSCI use a complicated methodology now - 100 page document (some say its 500m to drop out of the Small Cap Index). Next major rebalance is December 1st 2021 (there is a minor one on the 1st September).

Ignore this defintion - looks like it was from 2007. Apologies.

Methodology and the MSCI Small Cap Index Series
The MSCI Small Cap Index Series adjusts the market capitalization of index constituents for free float and
targets for index inclusion 40% of the full market capitalization of the eligible small cap universe within
each industry group in each country. Currently, MSCI calculates the Small Cap Index Series for 23 countries
in the developed markets. The market capitalization range that defines the small cap universe is USD 200 –
1,500 million in terms of the company’s full market capitalization.

Rebalance is end of Nov.

Well we did drop out of the MSCI Global Small Cap index and into the Global Micro Cap Index so funds will be re-allocating accordingly for tomorrow.

Another you can look at, again they entered in November 2020 ... look at all the 'MSCI' funds from the various IIs. They weren't there before ...
