Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Good morning, How do people see the market reacting to the results?
IT was actually one big four firm and one second tier firm willing to participate in the tender process. Why do you think it will be PWC?
Deloitte pulled out because they had closed their Russian offices and therefore couldn't accurately audit Poly's Russian assets. PWC are in exactly the same situation.
Thanks for reply Pepsicle, if I had left it looks like I could have got it a little cheaper. Live and learn ;-)
I don't usually bother with orders but had a buy order with HL at 250p which didn't fill even when price at 249.4p. Closed order and bought at 249.4. Shouldn't these orders trigger automatically?
Spread is much tighter?
Well I dont pay for the FT. I hope you are right about the sanctions. Time will tell.
GLA
Why is it incorrect? Yes its the end of GPM issues but not the end of the debt to Western investors and surely for us the issue is what it sells for and what's left for the shareholders?
POG cant sell its gold to Gazprombank and therefore cant service its debts due to sanctions. It cant sell the gold to anyone else due to the terms of agreement with Gazprombank.
If Russia pass the new law making it illegal to refuse to deal with sanctioned companies then POG will be breaking the law in Russia.
If it sells to a Russian investor and continues to sell its gold to Gazprombank and pay its debts it will be sanctioned by the west but will still be able to continue in business.
If it is bought It will no doubt be bought on the cheap and only those that got in very late are likely to come out with anything at all.
Hopefully the Western investors who are owed $300 million can somehow have a positive influence or we see a very quick end to the conflict. Before you all start with your deramping allegations, I'm in for more than I want to be and 50% down.
Good luck to all!
Yep anything can happen but me selling greatly increases the chances of them going higher ;-)
I joined the day traders £5k at 2.14 sold at 2.72 no one got poor taking a profit. Still got 7000 shares for long term.
GLA
Seems to have stalled. Day traders taking profit?
only fill or kill on HL now and no trade available on spreadex?
Sorry, you are correct I had misread it.
Can you provide a link/source please?
Don't the last two RNS show it went through?
So Sergey Sudarikov, who is behind the Region financial group (and part-owns the sanctioned Credit Bank of Moscow,) bought 29% of POG from fellow Russian tycoon Konstantin Strukov approx. 3 weeks ago then sells it back to him. Looks like it was a good deal for Sergey on the face of it but surely there's more to it. Welcome any informed opinions?
I just spoke to HL and they said if they are moved to Moscow exchange they wont hold them in an ISA and will be transferred to share account.
Just a thought but could these resignations be anything to do with conflict of interest? By this I mean if the directors (now resigned) voted to sell the entire company to themselves (who are already major shareholders) could this be considered a conflict of interest in what's best for the company.
Anyone who is up on FCA and LSE rules, I would appreciate your thoughts?
All quiet now aren't they! When I suggested this I was called a liar a shorter and attempting to manipulate the market lol.
