That's because this has to be one of the most tightly held AIM shares - there's so little free float it's amazing, and I imagine the MMs got too exposed selling uncovered when it was down in the 10-11p range that they are now much more conscious of needing to run a balanced book. When something comes along to cause interest in buying GMET shares in any volume, it will just have to go into auction and goodness only knows how high it will gone on the day - they certainly won't be getting my few hundred thousand shares below 50p.

The first step to dealing with this shower of a BOD (and especially the worthless "Executive Chairman") would be for 5% of the holders to call an EGM with the only motions votes of no confidence in NvS and each of the other directors. I would NOT pass, of course - because the Chairman always seems, in such circumstances, to be holding more absentia votes to prevent passing of unfavourable resolutions - BUT it would be something to do together with a media savvy campaign giving interviews to lots of little online media groups explaining why this has been done, why investors have less than zero confidence in the idiot von Schindig, etc. There's nothing these self-important nobodies like less than a bunch of vocal shareholders contradicting their narrative of what a great job they're doing running the company. In fact, if there was a plan to do that, I'd immediately buy a million or two shares so that I coulde also join in, because I think Arc has potentially great assets, but NvS needs kicking out before shareholders will ever see any profit from the Zambia licences.

Until FID, it is entirely feasible that NEO could pull out. The few million they've paid to JOG thus far is chicken feed to a multi-billion dollar entity such as HitecVision. I cannot help but wonder if this desire to sell NEO is simply because of the decimated returns to be expected with higher Highway Robbery Extraction Tax for longer - why should anyone believe they will stop when they currently say? HMRC has proven itself, well the tw4t living in Number 11, to be completely fluid in extending the duration and increasing the percentage of these tax thefts against NS investors. Yes, oil is going to go up massively (especially when the little libtard tw4ts like Greta realize that there isn't enough oil to cover the world until we reach renewable nirvana, let alone beyond) and there is plenty of talk of it going up to $200+ per barrel at some point, but if you're invested in the NS all that means is that you're doing a lot of work in order to make the Treasury rich so that their lordes and masters in office can try and buy votes from the double digit IQ voters who have about the same level of intelligence as Benjamin Britten's cat Jeoffry! The outlook has changed, and quite possibly this time it really will be different (and not for the better.)

I confess that I have really enjoyed watching all of the head shaking from the "long and strong" investors at both EUA and ARCM as they have cheered CS and NvS all the way down to the point of losing >75% of the value of their investments. They're now wondering how their investments became so worthless, whilst completely failing to understand that it was their own failure, as investors, to demand accountability and act to force corporate changes which has allowed inadequate leaders to destroy shareholder value and greatly enrich themselves with shareholder money despite delivering value destruction for shareholders. A few smart people will learn from this experience, most I suspect will simply repeat the same behaviour patterns at the next massive AIM pump and dump share, and then be amazed and confounded when the result is exactly the same! I think you are completely correct that the market, ie the collective intelligence of all buyers and sellers, clearly views Arc as a complete disaster. They've an "Executive Chairman" who has no contact information, pays himself an absurd amount of money for achieving so little, has completely lost the only balance sheet liquid investments that Arc had (worth $5m!), taking absolutely no responsibility for it and given no explanation as to who was responsible for the DD for such a disaster (no doubt the silence is an obvious statement as to who was actually responsible.) He was run out of Bumi for basically being useless (which was the only real leadership role he ever had) and now just creams off far more in salary and benefits that he is worth. I feel great pity for any Arc shareholders, since it really doesn't seem realistic to me that this can even get back to the previous highs since the new numbers just don't work in prior-to-the-raise shareholders' favour. You all know which cretin can be thanked for this, and I would suggest any holders make a point of attending the AGM to tell him what a clown he is to his face. (I'm rather tempted to shove a grand in here at these low levels just so I can go along and tell him myself!)

Who cares about the copper price? Arc are many years away from ANY copper production, and that's assuming Anglo find the anticipated tier 1 on their licence area (which I myself think is highly likely they will.) The real issue for Arc shareholders is whether they can survive NvS and his constant overpaying of himself without diluting them into oblivion. My strong suspicion is that Arc shareholders will never see any meaningful returns because of the leadership here priotizing their own interests over those of shareholders.

Think it's pretty fair to say that the market sees through the likes NvS and his gang of merry overpaid men. All you have to do to investigate NvS and his "integrity" is look at the absolute debacle in Bumi when he got booted from there. (You could also look at the complete Tingo fiasco, where they lost practically all of the balance sheet realizable cash by accepting shares in a fraud in payment for their gold assets! Any competent "Executive Chairman" would've addressed this a long time ago, and anyone with any integrity would've resigned in shame - no doubt NvS will simply pay himself a big bonus, because that's how he operates.) Lantier, since they own several other equities which are HQed in offshore jurisdictions, it's quite clear that this alone is not a bar to their inclusion in SL's strike fund. These days it's very tough to decide which is the worst run junior mining play on AIM - I would've said Eurasia was the hands down winner until very recently, but Arc Minerals with their terrible management is now a real contender for the number 1 spot, and poor old Eurasia Land Licence Ownership plc might end up not even able to make it as the winner even in the worst run company category!

I'm not sure how much marketing would be needed in Saudi if it is to be listed on the exchange there - there's so very little available for the Saudi exchange to invest in domestically with mining and exploration, and so many billions sloshing around in that part of the world, I could imagine that within a short period POW's retained stake of just that vehicle might well completely dwarf the current market cap!

TCM, I would never presume to offer a more logical and capable opinion than you, frequent contributor that you've been over the years to this board. BUT:

-if it's so lifestyle, why have the founding CEO and the replacement CEO invested six figures each of their own money in POW shares, only to dilute themselves and pay themselves rather low salaries by AIM standards? (In PJ's case, he paid himself less than a village primary school head - lifestyle indeed! Indeed even before tax and NI, PJ hasn't had out of POW in salary the full amount he's invested in the company.)

-how have they managed to dupe Rick Rule (perhaps you've heard of him) into becoming the largest shareholder in their lifestyle company? I know he's a bit infamous as a schmuck who makes a habit of backing complete losers and losing all his money, but even by that standard what you describe happening at POW is a major accomplishment even for him.

-have you considered that perhaps the reason for the GSA deal is that POW has some in house skills and connections to help quickly accelerate this company to highly profitable and revenue generating? Even if it doesn't happen, why are you so concerned with an investment which at most could lose POW shareholders 75k?

-have you considered that POW do have a bit of a track record of taking assets from other companies and multiplying their value to POW shareholders at a rate of 400-500%, ie Pilot Mountain.

I really look forward to your continued valuable intellectual contribution to the POW board, we don't get many people as smart as you on here able to so succinctly and intelligently run rings around the likes of PJ and Rick Rule with their disastrous records of investing in junior mining.

I wouldn't describe his salary as necessarily luxurious, but he is certainly paid a lot more than I think he is worth to this company. (I'm not saying he should be criticized for leading the company down this blind alley, since it was done honestly and well-intention, but I don't see any point in continuing to pay him much more than he is worth to lead a company he appears, from the outside looking in, to be completely out of his depth at running.) But I fully respect, Einbert, that you will have a more informed view from your position on your cousin's petrol station forecourt.

Who ever would have thought it! It'll be interesting, to say the very least, to see the accounts in a few months so that we can see how much Benitz has paid himself in bonuses for delivering this exception "shareholder value"! Ac123, I suspect if there is anyone willing to take this liability off shareholders' hands, it will be an offer more likely in the 2-2.5p per share range, right now they have very little worth buying. In fact, most small companies get taken over partly because of a desire to get good management into the new company, I suspect most people know the likelihood of ANYONE being interested in taking NvS and his hapless crew off Arc's hands, and I suspect you couldn't interested anyone at all in them even at the price of a Mars bar.
