No, Auc, I'm not entirely sure you are remembering the situation correctly, tbh. My recollection is that Arkle were approached about selling their share of Stonepark as part of a deal to sell ALL of Stonepark; it did not go ahead, that's for sure, but I don't believe that Arkle has EVER declined a reasonable offer for their share of Stonepark (much more likely is that G11 said no, since they have to listen to what Glencore want on the matter, since they are such a large G11 shareholder.)

Really sad to see that so many people are obviously significantly down on their investment in Arc, and have lost something equally expensive in the investment world - time. Multi year investment for some on here, down 80% from the highs. I'm pretty certain myself that Anglo will find copper in Zambia, but the tragedy seems to be that the Arc shareholders will get little return, whilst the directors get rich on their vastly overpaid salaries and expenses.

I agree with most of what you say, Tray, except that POW is "worth far more than £7.5mil in a half decent market." The assets you list are worth closer to 75m than 7.5m even in a dire market, imo.

I would be amazed if we decide to sell the UEE stake for less than 20m - the uranium bull market it going to be "long and strong" (so to speak) with demand drivers for the next few decades and supply challenges remaining high; I would be willing to be that if UEE was currently listed as a stand alone vehicle right now, it would be worth at least £50m mkt cap - when you compare it to things like ARCM and EUA, it's a vastly better proposition, in a vastly better postcode.

G11 was NOT up 50% on news of Stonepark drilling!!! Oh that it were! They are up because they have had dramatically good drill results massively extending their resource at Ballywire.

I'm all for thinking positively about Stonepark, and with the metal rights it seems obvious that one day Glencore will need to buy Arkle's quarter share, but hyping this on the back of nothing is just setting things up for failure.

Once the new Stonepark results are in (and really hoping they have found the massive feeder system) then I think JT should engage Rothschilds or one of the other specialist banks to approach Glencore and negotiate a sale of Stonepark. My guess would be in the 15-25m range for our quarter of Stonepark, unless JT can get a bidding war going, but it doesn't seem too likely.

I doubt they will give more than USD$5-10m for Pilot Mountain, there's just no need - they're not funding development of a mine just further drilling to ascertain the extent of the deposit. I would expect that any further financial commitment from the USG will be agreements for supply with whoever buys Pilot Mountain from GMET to take through to production. If this is done without much additional dilution, I imagine we could ultimately end up with 150-200p per share from the sale of Pilot Mountain, although that has to be at least 2 years away.

Perhaps someone with the ear of Sunakhunt and Kweir could explain to them that pushing NS fields to uneconomic status asap will not only destroy tax revenue and remove any semblance of fuel supply security, but will accelerate the government's decommissioning liabilities! (Most likely they won't care, since they have been able to issue gilt confetti until now in order to pay for every vote they want to buy, but when the world wakes up to the fact that the UK is broke, they'll get a swift, unforgettable lesson in fiscal responsibility!) As an aside, the UK's fiscal situation rather reminds me of that lovely Clarke & Dawes skit about Greece, where the interviewer says to the economist: "Greece's broke, right?" and the economist responds: "Ha, they would be if their economic situation improved out of sight!"

It's such a pity that with some of the most prospective Copper ground in Zambia, most ARCM shareholders will see very little wealth from any success with the drill bit because of the leadership here - as John Meyer (one of junior mining's most respected analysts) said, "I wouldn't trust the Arc BOD to run a corner shop!" No doubt he sees the prospect of a few percent from an entry at 1.8p, but the idea that people who've held since 8p will ever be rewarded.... well, let's just say it will get a mention in that great novel, "The photocopier that simply worked, and other fairy tales".

Strange how they were never willing or able "invest their own money" in Arc, despite telling everyone what a world class deal they've done! Of course, now that they've destroyed the shareprice, now they're willing to take some shares, no doubt in non-cash from their surrendered options.

So tragic to see the world-class potential of one of the best Zambian licence areas entrusted to these clowns.

Oh just beautiful! So, people who sold this short at 8p or 7p or 6p or 5p or 4p or 3p or 2p are supposedly "very nervous" now? WHY? They've had plenty of opportunity to more than 4x their money whilst this has collapsed more than 85% in share price! (I share your contempt for any shorters who have not already covered though, since they've had literally years to cover their ARCM shorts at a huge profit.) And I should mention that the huge profit they've made has been entirely thanks to the longs who were silly enough to hold this failing company all the way down from 8p to the current 1p.

So relax, Lantier, although I'm not short here now, I can almost guarantee you that there isn't a short trader over the last few years who has done anything with ARCM other than make a fortune :)

It is also worth reminding people interested in ARCM to check out the very recent interview with John Meyer, the SP Angel junior mining specialist, who has made several damning comments about the complete failureship of the ARCM leadership and that he "would not entrust them with the running of a corner shop" basically!

It raises a few really good questions: If this AAL deal is so great and will result in such massive wealth for ARCM shareholders, why was it necessary to get this placing away at a discount, when other juniors without such deals have recently completed placings at a premium to their shareprice? And why were warrants necessary on this discounted placing?

I would hope very much that they are realistic about what can be achieved, but when you look at the nonsense which happens all over AIM, I certainly would never put it out of mind that company leadership will string things out as long as possible (once they've accepted that capital gains cannot be achieved) in order to milk as much in salary and bonuses as possible. (Btw, that's not a specific accusation against JOG's leadership, rather a situation I've witnessed time and time and time again on AIM.)

It's so funny to watch all these comments which occasionally appear about how desperate the derampers are! Constant conspiracy theories that these "derampers" work together with shorters (all highly unlikely imv) to drive the price down. If that were the case, this has gone down from 8p all the way down to 1p! Why on EARTH would the "derampers"/shorters be the desperate ones? Presumably they've all made a fortune from the complete collapse of the ARCM share price. Logic would indicate that the really "desperate" ones are those who have held ARCM shares all the way down from 8p to the current 1p share price!!! One has to wonder if those posting about the "desperate" derampers aren't projecting just a little bit of their own desperation. This has to rise by a factor of about 5 for many people here to get back to the value they held from when it collapsed from 8p, there's really very little coming up to produce a 400% raise, especially with the hundreds of millions more shares in issue, and the hundreds of millions of warrant shares which will hold this back for many years to come.

It's amazing to me that the market attributes so little value to GMET, given the large Tungsten resource at Pilot Mountain, and the ever-expanding copper potential at Garfield (given the northern NV location, which is one of the best mining jurisdictions in the world, you'd think people would be all over it.) Let's hope that the gvmt funding for Pilot comes in soon so that they can get active dramatically expanding the scale of the Tungsten-Copper deposit, get it proved up, BFS done and flog it off to the US gvmt. When the rules come into effect preventing imports of Tungsten from China, who knows what the price of domestic supply will be, whatever it is it will be significantly higher than it is today!

CHF - as a lifelong Tory, with much regret I must agree with your comment, CHF, the CINOs have indeed presided over complete destruction of the work ethic in the UK, and indeed it now pays most low end unskilled people to just bleed the welfare system white. Of course, LIEbour will be worse, it'll be just more of the same on steroids, but hopefully the electoral decimation which the Tories will undoubtedly suffer will be sufficient to bring them back to being the party of work, entrepreneurship and capitalism (sad that it has to come down to hope that the Tories will eventually remember what it means to be a Conservative, or just a conservative, either would be a vast improvement on their current champagne socialist, libdim-lite policies.)
