Morning Keith, thanks for all you work, very proactive & helpful as ever !!! Like many, I too have been keeping an eye on the zone & found nothing of note. But sorry to say, for now, I am not sold on this site suggestion & here are some of my own reasoning's why :-)
Firstly & good, it seems very site similar to Mou-1, which was about 300 m from the Msoun on a higher outcrop, 10-15 m above low river level. Not sure of the height above the river here, knowing that would help lots. The river has also been flowing heavily for days, so I hope its high up. It is also almost directly east of MOU-4, not really SSE. And the preferred lands around 277m to the SE do not appear very developed either, so surprised there is no closer availability. There are also what I guess are deep water run-off gullies (follow the tree line to south) very close to the site. At Mou-1 these were from 1-2-5 m deep & very tricky & dangerous to navigate around & that was when dry-ish. Also from Google Pro, much of this general area appears to have been prepared for irrigation & planting since last years google sat pass. My own guess is that it has been re-worked over, watered & maybe alfalfa planting is going on, Guercif warms up to 20 C next week. It also reminds me of the changes on my "imagined" MegaPad up North, now clearly agricultural :-)
I also don't understand why we would drill a deviated well, from a site soon to be potentially unavailable.
Very happy to be wrong "again" on all & looking forward to some clarity on Jan 23.
