Leem, profits are all relative and some on here (I am newer break even) are showing excellent profits over the last 2 yrs especially those who bought in sub 100 and better....I would hazard a a guess and say most mid term investors are in profit and then add the divi...so your take on investing here cannot and does not apply to everyone....

Currently just a watching brief as I don’t post
for posting sake...

Just made a calculated decision and sold out.
This was based on the fact I had basically already lost over half my investment...I could be just waiting to lose the rest, so decided to invest
elsewhere, somewhere that I am not in danger of
losing it all and could actually make a profit to
help offset my losses.
Makes sense to me but wish I had decided to do it
a few days back...but you learn all the time.
Best wishes for all those sitting it out.....

Same dance for Poulter just went for the value @ 75’s

JL, usually leave my bets until the 2nd or 3rd day once I see who is playing well on the course..
Although I may have an interest in both Speith and Poulter before the off as both look over-priced ...

Further to my last post and assuming the
settlement is exclusive to RB and INDV’s case is ongoing.
If we consider the indictment
covers period of 9yrs and the 2 entities split up in the very last year of this period...RB would have reaped the benefits of any malpractice for 90% of the period and therefore should realistically be responsible pro rata for 90% of any settlement...
Also to be borne in mind the spinoff agreement included a mutual indemnity clause...
All in all Indv are sitting pretty.....or does
someone know something different ?

As I stated last well this would be classed as
“Joint enterprise”...both in it together and any agreement would also be jointly and severally.
Not sure if this entails separate settlements or just the one...would like to believe the latter.
However, there is no valid reason for both to
have not been settled at the same time as it would
be more difficult to separate the two because the
the overlapping years of ownership...

I had a few bets “in running” on the cricket, 3 on Eng and 2 on NZ..
Cashed out all them bar one...that was Eng @ 7/4.
I actually thought It lost when it was a draw but noticed the bet stated “2 way” ..so collected on them all...
Nothing big but gives me a bit of powder for the golf..

to all those who correctly predicted the SP would take a nosedive...
They would have earned more respect by sitting back in the knowledge
they were right....but looking for "merit badges" says it all...
That apart, can anyone enlighten me how the sums add up for Fosun..
Any dilution hits them more than anyone, do they accept this as a premium
for getting hold of the co ?

It would be fair to assume both entities have been
working in unison defending the cases against them which are likely being treated loosely as “joint enterprise” because of the overlap of the period cited, so would expect that Indv announce outcome within a very short period of time

Anyone’s guess if they pay the going rate, that apart it is Immaterial what they pay now, as part of the
negotiations would include this “arrangement” and
prospective buyers would look to have new contracts in place prior to any deal being signed off..

Good point Quisty but you have to agree every
situation is different and the fact these all went to
the wall, it does not follow the next one will..
As I said, it’s a punt and could go either way.
You let it ride or go for the cash out...

The market is awash with money and we should include private equity co’s getting involved in the bidding...the airlines will not have the bidding just to themselves...
Several drawbacks with the airline biz but IMO the positives far outweigh these...
This is definitely a punt but I believe it has a favourites chance of coming up trumps, but if I was strapped for cash I would seriously think about gambling what little I had and look to cut exposure.

Maybe it is just part of due diligence as
part or all of the biz is up for sale..
