I read this that we had had a loan. Not just the offer of one. Offering one and then following through with it are very different things.

Wigster - good questions. Directors buying some shares on the open market would be a good sign of confidence. But I'm not expecting them to when they can pick them up in discounted raises :P

I don't recall us ever having a loan from Petrovis, but I'm not 100% certain.

But as Adw says, if they are willing to raise $9m at a significant discount and not use the loan facility, when would they use it? And if the loan facility is only up to say $1m, that won't even cover salary costs.

In summary, they need to get Heron 1 pumping seriously more than 200-300 bopd, and fast. Because I already can't see past the usual annual MATD raise, but it has to be at levels higher than 1.3p.

The MG would probably prefer MATD to go bust before the refinery is complete. Renegotiate better terms with another company and where they can’t claim development costs back. Or even take it on themselves, given it’s of “national importance”. And they wouldn’t look bad or put other companies off investing in Mongolia because they’d claim it was MATD’s fault/bad luck, just ran out of money etc.

Overner, I agree. Certainly, it would be hard to raise much cash at these SP levels without completely decimating current shareholders.

I said Gobi was our last, great hope of a rerate here. It sadly hasn't come off. I just don't see now how this recovers when there's no big news due (no, a deal with PC or some renewables project won't be big enough news), and then we have what seems to be continuing selling from somewhere with barely any buying (all LTHs have shot their bolt and no fresh blood will entertain this), I wouldn't be surprised at this stage to see us drift lower and below 1p - something I never thought I'd say and in fact I thought we'd have a floor under us at 2p following the last raise. I was wrong, too optimistic along with my nonsense 6-8p for 2024.

I won't be selling, though. In my fourth year here of what was originally intended as a short term punt and will likely hang around to see if I can at least recover something and then concentrate efforts elsewhere. But what a shower this has been. You live and learn - don't invest in third world, corrupt countries.

It’s just been an endless stream of delays and now with the PC/MG/MATD deal hold up, still no revenue and now news of this export permit. Anything else we might need that you’d like to give us a heads up on, eh Mike??? And I’m still confused as to why the MG are involved in our deal with PC… surely we pay the MG what we owe them and our deal with PC is our business?

But the most worrying thing is probably that even TBT and Proquo have ran out of steam.
