Adw/abzzba, the point I was making is that I want to hear from the company exactly how much of, and how, the $9m has been spent so far. Not abzzba’s guesswork.

It would be nice for MATD to at least give us monthly production figures. Many other companies do this. We've been producing for a little while now.

Also says $4m all in to bring a well onstream. I know this is debated a lot. At 250 bopd from H1, that would generate around $3.5m. So we clearly need H2 flowing good and H1 to increase, as at current rates that $3.5m will only pay salaries and those oft-mentioned tea and biscuits.

Just had a quick skim listen again of the presentation and Q&A from July last year.

Around 53 mins, talks about the offtake agreement. So PC sell their oil it seems exclusively to China Oil. Our oil will effectively be mixed in with PC's and we get our % cut of the proceeds in line with the % of oil sold that is ours, minus fees to PC. Also talks about contingency plans if it doesn't work out and how we could truck it ourselves, although this would be costly.

Much earlier on, he mentions the refinery forecast for 2027 but says the refinery timescales have a tendency to slip. Even so, the refinery is a way off so we need this deal to be sorted with PC and MG. MB does also mention a few times that PC and MG are in dispute, so hopefully that won't affect us.

The offtake agreement is with PC! Did you think they were going to act as a broker, selling our oil to spurious parties all across China?! Deary deary.

Thornogson, I’m saying if there’s a deal done, they might well insist they only pay what the price of oil was when it was deposited in storage. Use a silly example to demonstrate… say the oil price quadruples, I don’t think PC will say fine, we’ll pay $300-400 per barrel. I reckon they’ll say those 250 barrels on 13/12/2024 the price of oil was x and you get y. Could be wrong. But the two key points I’m making are firstly that you do not know for sure that we’ll get the price of what a barrel is at for all of it on the day they finally sort out this deal. It works both ways, too, if the oil price crashes. Not good for us and stitched up while we wait.

And secondly, I do not believe any deal has been agreed. I think they’re taking their sweet time over things like they always do. MB tends to RNS immediately for any big news. This would be big news.

I have never suggested such a thing. On the contrary, I’ve said repeatedly that I do not believe there is any deal, arrangement, agreement, call it what you will. Because if there was, it would have to be RNS’d.

If you’re struggling to understand that, perhaps time to have a rest and recharge.

Thornogson, I honestly have no idea what you’re going on about. To be clear, IMO, no agreement is in place or been agreed as yet. And if/when it is, I reckon they’ll use the daily prices when the oil was dropped off for storage. But the point is, we don’t know how they’ll do it.
