I agree AG1989, the RNS reads very much like the Queen's response to La Sparkles and Henry. A bit flat and uh? on first read but when you go at it again and pick into it, it's more cleverly written than you first think.
I broadly agree with your main points, and add to that that ECR are fielding a tiny team. There are probably more boots on the ground than office-based staff and virtually nobody here in the UK. This cost saving is both a curse and blessing it allows for silly spending to be reigned in but it would seem there's a need for some more robust PR.
Having said that, I still don't think he's done much wrong, esp nothing that hasn't been done on AIM before. The additional money is clearly necessary, especially if plans have changed. Things are happening here and it's better than nothing happening. We go into the year and beyond really well funded, and there may be a few surprises along the way, who knows. But that's the risk you take in AIM mining, it can come good suddenly, take an age or never come good.
I just wish people would not treat CEOs as if they were their mates, or that they cared about your trust or your pockets. Ultimately they will do what's best for the company in the longterm, both for its survival and to make it attractive for new blood. Boot on the other foot, Craig isn't going to get many here's loyalty if the sp went to double figs overnight. It could be a lot more in a year's time but the majority here would have bailed by then without a backwards glance at 'good ol' Craigey boy'. So it's pointless getting emotional, it works both ways.
Set your target/s, watch the company carefully, listen, and make your money without emotion. Emotion rules AIM but it also helps ruin it.
