This is just my opinion:

I've long said that (imo) I think he displays narcissistic tendencies, as so many of these company bosses do. They are charming, polite, savvy, clever, and talk a lot of what sounds attractive or logical.

But they also hardwired to have no consciense, no empathy, no sleepless nights unless it's their money they're losing. He may be feeling it atm because he's personally lost out on Railsr or whatever it calls itself. But imo he likely won't for a moment equate it with his own shareholders 5-year anguish. And the chances are that Railsthingy will be off to the races again long before CP even pens the first page of a IPO brochure for Tally.

I think he can do the monthly Q and A for decades because it's autopilot stuff for him. It's just functional, like breathing air. It's neither here nor there that it moves the relist on practically. It's just words. Imo he'll see it as his duty to placate or put off holders for another month, and another, etc. And if you notice the pattern tends to be a string of upbeat tones followed by a slapdown. He's done this for years with absolutely no urgency. It's incredible, and not in a good way. In a normal world someone like this would be quickly ousted. But the City (and finance in general) is absolutely full of dead-eyed smooth talkers, so it's a normal day at the office for them.

Someone on the Tally forum kindly posted a screenshot of an advert that just popped up for best mobile banking apps. Tally was second.

Until then, I'm afraid he'll get shouted and balled at on his primary soundboard of choice, Twitter, by the disillusioned and some bandwagon trolls. He's brought it upon himself at this point though. As a shareholder, all I can do is stand back and watch. I can't defend him any more, just point out where I see pros, cons, progress and missteps. All of which are apparent. It's hard to assess at present.

Yes, I think the 'does what it says on the tin' is starting to bear fruit.

On one hand it's fortuitous that he got rid of a lot of Railsbank shares early on. Because we would be in trubs right now if he was holding a full deck of cards there. Yes, their business may reinvent itself but it'll take time.

The cost of listing on AIM is a fraction of going to main market and as always, I cannot understand the refusal to just get back on AIM and work up from there.

Having said that he's now just pretty much committed to listing this year this in interview with PKF. They are a very large auditor/accountancy entity in the UK, so this really long and detailed interview goes out to the City and beyond, not just our huddle of shareholders.

Lu_cypher, as bad as CP has treat shareholders, what's made it worse is abject fools like you on this forum.

There's an old saying about wisdom chasing a person but that person always staying ahead of it. Apply it to yourself and then shut up for once in your feeble life.

I'm torn. It's a good little product that certainly has a place in the arena as an alternative to cash, bitcoin, physical gold, banking or holding shares, Premium Bonds, etc.

But I have to concede after the latest fiasco of mute no commitment, after a characteristic up period of hope, that although the business is moving along nicely and the company is certainly capable of listing, it'll not do if under Cameron Parry.

He has no real drive to, it's just not his priority. His priority is to keep the lights on. Prolonging the torment for his shareholders is of no concern to him.

I hope you are correct because Twitter is the platform which even the news outlets take their stories and cues from. It does have influence, whether we like it or not,. And whether it's trolling or annoyed investors it's not a good look, and is a constant reminder that dissatisfaction and anger bubbles near the surface all the time. It's not what I want, and I've never taken part in such things. But it's also not going to go away easily.

We are coming up to the five year anniversary of being put on ice this year. And while I remain semi-hopeful things will work out, public responses like this are really not helpful. But equally they are part of this company's self-inflicted collateral.

And on it goes. Every good tweet Tally puts out elicits these sorts of responses. Yes, it's 'only' Twitter, but it's the main place he's doing his advertising. Anything he does just gets shot down because he's (imo) too cautious or too narcissistic to get this company listed.

Tally also appear to have branded merchandise out and though this gets the word out, again it looks as if there's money for fripparies which could be put towards shareholder concerns. I think if he shifts the goalposts again next Q and A I'll think relisting truly is dead in the water. It's an absolute gift of a time to list this year. There can't be any more excuses to use imo.

There's also an advert from what appears to be a tech recruitment company stating Tally have recruited a second employer from them. I haven't verified it but if true Tally are able to recruit amidst a challenging climate, both for them and the wider economy.

Not strictly true. Companies do reinvent themselves. And CP himself recently said: "I'm not a gold guy."

As in physical gold, mining, etc. Basically afaics, the golf dies have left the company and what's left are (fin)techies and corporate type business folk and advertisers. Its an absolute fintech company now.

We know that, bb. But we're dealing with a man who seemingly allowed a 'broker' to push him around into not listing when he said he would most recently. A broker. It's like me turning up at my job and saying I can't work today because my mum said it was raining and I might catch a cold.

I have no idea who is advising this fella or if he just takes his own advice and makes the rest up. He might be legit with his broker story but that means his plan cannot be firm enough for him to stand by his convictions. Conversely, and from an 'all is not lost' pov, he's almost raised enough to list, and has made some encouraging noises. I want to believe, trust me, it's just all in his time and that's been half a decade now. I don't think anyone saying 'nows a reeeaaaallly good time' is gonna sway him.

And it's potentially good news for anyone into gold but if he reads that, it won't make CP go any faster. Of all the opportunities to time a listing/comeback, the man has managed to sidestep every one of them.

He won't read this and think: 'Lord, wot a buzzin' fat gift on a plate for Tally. I should really get a shufty on.' It'll just be the same old cautious approach, where we chase a listing over the hill like a man chasing a mirage.

I still think Tally could get to market, but sadly it'll be in his time. And he'll again miss the very best opportunities and timings. At the point he thinks it's safe for junior to leave the playpen, the WEF will have commandeered all the gold reserves too, lol!

And yet... this is also a company that hasn't wound up and liquidated. Or turned off its lights and sent its staff their final salaries. Even in a pandemic they've managed to keep going.

What almost hasn't? Railsbank/Railsr, a company with far, far bigger coffers and clout, nearly coming a cropper. So it's a strange one.

I think that CP just purely has reluctance to list. Tally has become so precious in his head he's not prepared go let it take its chances. He's like a mollycoddling father. Therefore we can all just wait his time until junior can go to nursery.

When you hear him talk, his explanations sound level, reasonable and follow a structured patter. But after 5 years of reading between the lines it pretty much just boils down to him being precious imo.

There's always a chance of listing as long as this company exists. The idea put to him by a shareholder on the Tally forum t'other week to allow holders a kind of 'lock in' warrant to keep everyone from fleeing on the (oh mystical!) opening bell is a good one. And would presumably raise more funds to help get this over the line. But there's a lot of work to do on CP's part. And this is a man who has had no issues watching 5 years tick by. Trust is rightly lacking among numerous weary holders. Patience, for many, eroded a long time ago.

But it's worth a shot, imo.
