I've just come across this on my travels.

Looks like (potentially) an opposition to the XGB trademark? Filed, curiously, the same days as the US trademarks. Could this be an internal company thing? I don't claim to get my head around it but it's curious. Anyone have the ear of CP or Ralph to find out more?

'Filing an opposition

There is an initial 2 month opposition period which begins immediately after the date the trade mark is advertised in the trade marks journal. You can extended this period by a further 1 month by filing an electronic form TM7a ‘Notice of threatened opposition’ within the initial 2 months, beginning immediately after the advert date. The TM7a can only be submitted on-line and there is no fee payable with this form.'

I think deano means the US trademarks, filed in December.

However, CP might take it to mean the whole process including the recent XGB trademark application, which was indeed in October.

Now I know things are moving forward, I'm less bothered about updates at every turn now. We're clearly not going to get that atm and I believe that until a devoted comms person is trained up and working, RNS Reach will be like a fleeting wisp.

I should add that I think getting the Tally concept out to English-language speaking domains first of all is a wise move. Rather than needing translators to sort out Hindi or Gujarati, etc, for the Indian market (though of course English is widely spoken). Being established really well in a big English-speaking North American territory should make for excellent hype and a good base to then roll Tally out further afield. If you can crack your own market first it's half the battle.

So here we have another RailsBank seed investor, Phillip Riese, who turns up as being on the board of Cross River, RailsBank's new pathway into the US/NA. Here you can see that the patchwork of connections are not just random offchance deals. These things have likely been brewing in the works, supported by seed investors for some time imo, and now coming to fruition.

Phillip's Linked in profile is really interesting, inc his past board memberships and involvement with American Express, up until 1998:

I know enough about Peter Jackson and who he works for to say they are sticklers for integrity and transparency. Any past mistakes get quickly chased up and ironed out, controls are strict and I honestly think he's a good and sound guy. His investment in Railsbank is a great sign imo.

The other thing that's really exciting to me is that the focus seems (for the time being) to have shifted away from India and towards the US/North American market. I think this is wise, given the upsurge of Trumpism atm. Gold is king, in whatever amount. Although the Indian market is still huge and an excellent target that I hope we continue to focus on. I think this could take off very well in India but Tally seems to be following Railsbank's lead into America first of all, and I think that's telling.

At a guess I'd think you can put back the value of the yearly ISA allowance and that's it, by April 2019 that will be £20,000.

So if your holding is worth more than the ISA allowance you'd have to split what you can between that and a taxable account (in HL's case, their Fund & Share account). I guess you'd just send your certificate into the broker and let them handle it, with your preferred instructions.

The system has been broken for years. Nobody does a thing to try and upgrade it to make it clearer.

Well, CP's a businessman and they generally only have so much tolerance for the little guy. However, what could be a fantastic concept is quite largely down to him - and we shouldn't lose sight of that either.

I think that feet on ground and neutral approach is best. Though I bet many people didn't think they'd even see the app and yet here it is.

It's hard for people not to get excited after a veritable year of misery and uncertainty.

Some of you are such terrible drama queens. Good news could land tomorrow or next week and all the placing talk will be forgotten. It's so typical of how people love to drum up endless negativity. How do you think these tiddler companies are going to fund their plans going forward?

I think we might be a few months away from slick comms, tbh.

In the meantime, whilst it's quiet, I think they'll get info out via presentations and just keep focusing their main effort on the product. Talking to us is going to be the least of their concerns right now, especially since we are no longer bound by AIM market rules.

They'll be short. And so they take it out on everyone else, finding ways of reading negatives into arguably one of the best RNSs to have hit AIM in a long time.

I'm not in here but well done guys, it's brilliant to see people make money and good things happen.

AIM is so often negative but today's news is just what the doc ordered and I'm pleased for you.

I think we just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. N4P comeback was one.

AIM is generally a fleapit (a necessary one) where shit happens every day but now and then Cluff and Solgold type moments happen. Dreams are occasionally really made.

Let's hope our's is also one of them. It does feel as if a serious corner has now been turned, despite the haphazard comms of the past year. It would be great to see us transform into something really special in the months/years to come.

Don't forget guys, presentation in Manchester in just over two weeks time. Also they're hoping to get Railsbank onboard for it as well.
