Looking to the future... what if MVR was to achieve 10% of Spotify's market cap. Would have to be justified of course, growing subscriber base, significantly increasing revenues, monetizing record label and talent relationships, using new technology to offer enhanced subscriber experience, etc. 

What could be achieved? Perhaps Spotify is a useful comp. Let's be super conservative, and not use today's Spotify mkt cap (almost US$60bn), but the low point since its listing, ~US$20bn, or sbout £14bn. At 10% thats £1.4bn and on today's share count comes out at ~56p MVR share price. 

Of course, to achieve 20% if Spotify's valuation, or to use today's Spotify market cap comes out at £1.12, and £1.70/share respectively. It's all possible - but more likely with a lot of very hard work, some hiccups along the way. It's quite conceivable we are sitting on a multi billion pound company that will disrupt, and enhance the music industry. 

Or, an established media/telecom/tech company sees the opportunity, and either buys MVR, or takes another disruptive route, and builds it alone. Anything is possible.

I believe it is because the broker sold you the stock. It's the broker that reports the trade. Happy to be corrected.

I believe the armchair critics have little appreciation for the complexity of this business. The technology hurdles, bringing highly complicated personalities to the stage in a difficult new world, creating Covid safe working environments, and navigating the logistics/admin/insurance etc, dealing with legal complexity, ownership and copyrights (partly explained in the AD), and breaking new industry ground. None of this is easy.

The last public meeting was the 2019 AGM, around June I recall. Covid has forced all companies to conduct meetings via Zoom, or similar. The last AGM was via Zoom but was voice only, and if you asked well in advance, the company provided a link. There was no opportunity for Q&A, nor any update made at that time. The reason for that became obvious post 25 August. If enough people lobby the company, and perhaps Arden, or other advisors, you might get AM to provide a forum to update shareholders. However, we can all read. There is a 114 page document out which explains everything pretty clearly. If you want to know more, write to AM or the advisors and ask questions. If there is no response, ask again. If it's that important, keep asking. Moaning on this forum won't give you the answers you desire. Its pretty clear there is significant backing for this industry disrupting innovator, and it will require significant more capital, patience, and time. Great businesses don't mushroom overnight, without a great deal of effort, hard work, with all the ups and downs. If you are after a quick buck, move on, or go to the casino.

RBBe, I am not an insider, just a patient, albeit frustrated long term holder who believes the company can play a major part in the next generation in live/VR music to fans. My guess is the 3.5p placement in August was made to a) be attractive to investors who could make an instant decision b) deliver enough potential upside given the risk c) a discount to the previous placement in March at 3.75p d) be attractive given there wasn't any new operational developments.
I had been buying in the weeks up to the placement in the 4p's, and tried to participate in the placement (I didn't, unfortunately) .
As I see It, there is significant industry interest in this company. The CEO has driven a concept based on his grass roots industry experience, and encouraged support from others in the business. One of three things happen from here. Either Melody drives a new business to become an industry leader over time, or a major pounces at some stage to pays up in the next 12 months, or it's a flop. The next year is critical. Serious investors, positioned now are not there for 2x or even 3x. Their expectations are probably for 10x or more. It will happen, I am sure. But patience will be needed. You make a very good point toiler, one which few have clasped onto. Live events will always be a favoured event for those that can get there, but may end up being the super premium choice. Future live events may have fewer attendees, and the live music model may mean fewer economic locations. The virtual option has an unlimited audience, and of course has instant repeat performance, which can be monitised. I am a child from the 50's, we saw a movie or a play once only, if we were lucky. Today you can watch almost anything, anytime, as many times as you want, all at a reasonable price. The music model is changing, painfully for some, but Melody appears to be one of the leading game changers, with very good strategy, industry contacts, and backers. Very exciting to be part of the evolution/revolution.

As per RNS ON 30 Sept, half year result 30 Oct. Then admission document end November. Business continues adding talent and content.

The only publishing analyst is restricted on publishing anything as far as I am aware.

We have seen this article a few weeks ago. Nothing new there. At the end of the day artists and their recording companies will decide what distribution works for them. Relationships and reach, and what drives their income.
