Good article, and some key points made, it all comes down to contacts and agreements, who owns the continuing viewing rights and who clips the ticket. VR on line has unlimited viewing opportunities, not constrained by venue, local time curfews, costs of security, crowd management, cleaning up etc etc. What's clear to me though is the quality of production. Over time music fans will distinguish between the back room production, and the quality provided by well funded and organised recording venues. We are still going through the "novel" stage in the new normal transition for live music. As artists demand higher spec productions, those investing in the right technology and production will win out.

I am pretty sure that is because the reporting broker sold you the shares. Only one side of the transaction is reported.

In the post below I suggested new non exec may have options or warrants awarded on appointment, which was wrong. Reading the fine print in the Corporate Governance statement 11 Aug it clearly states:

Further thoughts...
There has been much criticism here about lack of information. As far as I can observe, the company submits events via RNS when it is obliged to. The media media/tech space is fast moving, still evolving, there isn't a road map, and the assets (talent, and future rights to the talent) need to be legally secure, and locked in. None of this is easy, nor can it happen fast enough to please everyone. I am sure everything is progressing as fast as it can behind the scenes. I am here for the long haul, as I believe there is significant upside if the company evolves into the major player in the space. Either in its own right, or as part of a larger group. Time will tell.

Well, along with the Forbes article today, it illustrates there is plenty of innovation, and seed money going on. Quality, relationships, content,with solid backing and promotion will probably win the day. The risk with the Russian company could be the power of capital available. Many start-ups will seek some sort of relationship with the big tech players, and music labels. It works both ways.

It will be interesting to see who the three new non exec directors are, and what background/relationships/talent they bring to the board. And of course what incentives they are awarded - options etc.

In the meantime I guess it's business as usual - signing more artists and concerts...

Jmfs1. Thank you, a voice of reason and I concur. Company is in a much stronger position today than a year ago. Plenty to play for now and I expect management want to ensure all the right boxes are ticked, progress is made for flawless delivery. Matchett and Co seem to be playing the long game, leading to a big prize, and not settling for seconds.

Interesting, Newsnight just had a piece on VR... Featured John Legend, and a previous interview with AM. Also across several other media. Featured National Theatre, and what they are planning to do. Interesting its (VR) getting a slot on such a programme...

Interesting long article in today's Times, raises may issues from several leading people across performing arts. No mention of MelodyVR, but until there is somethibg to offer, one wouldn't expect that. However it raises awareness of the gaping hole in the market, and new ideas are needed. The biggest opportunity is how to bring the "live performance feeling" to an on screen experience.
