That could result in a share buyback and/or reinstatement of dividend, although it won't be 67.5p again anytime soon.

The dividend is based on the TW asset value so it will be around 4.67p again - hopefully slightly higher.

There will be some incentive in the budget as part of their pledge (which won't happen) of 1.5 m homes. Then almost definitely a rate cut on 18 December. Without force majeure this should be 110-120p by then.

I've looked at the recent Winteshall Dea results which were 69% gas and 31% oil. Given that HBR split is 54/46 then the combined split is 64/36. Personally I much prefer having a higher gas split as less prone to OPEC etc. Also both TTF and UK gas prices should rise as Winter approaches. Let's hope it is 1 October. GLA

I've been dipping in and out in recent weeks but I'm keeping out till post results, especially with the reduced aluminium production.

Does anyone know when in 2025 Simandou will commence production and how long to ramp up to full production. I want to buy a large chunk beforehand. GLA

I've taken the profit. Election in two weeks so if it's just a rumour it will be a lot lower around 5 July.

Last November JP Morgan had forecast of 4.00 so now it's an increase of 25% on that forecast - not bad in seven months. Oh and of course it went to 5.64 in April.

I agree with @upomega.

All the builders (Persimmon etc) have recently shot up whereas MNG and PHNX havent. For me this is a buying opportunity for both at these levels.

Another crazy update from JP Morgan - forecast cut from 5.25 to 5.00 with a rate cut almost definitely happening on 1 August. PHNX at 4.88 is such a bargain.

Last time I checked 91 out of 97 analysts reckon ECB will cut rates at its next meeting. If that happens then might make a UK rate cut more likely on 20 June.

I agree. A major development so soon after the FY results announcement and something similar could happen to try and solve the My Space saga.

Just read that 91 out of 97 economists in a Reuters poll expect the ECB rate to be cut from 4% to 3.75% on 6 June unless oil price rises dramatically.

Personally I see this as a buying opportunity before rates are cut. That could well start at the ECB meeting on 6 June - or 18 July meeting. UK looks next in August with USA in September. There might be a dip with the UK and USA elections but after that with further rate cuts likely this should go much higher - with the caveat of the Middle East situation etc but in that case we will get circa 10% dividend if buying now. I'm in. GLA

Institutions hold 84% of the shares and given the historical share price I can't see them agreeing to a bid below £6.50.

Great results with the only downside that dividend only up 2.5% instead of the expected 5%. Rather mean when their cash generation was even higher than last update at over £2bn.

The last paragraph of the article is critical.

It states charges capped at 0.75% since 2015 - so any future one-off payments will only be for any schemes prior to 2015 above 0.75%.. Any possible future one-off payments will be lower as these schemes close.

So it's a one off cost which the market would have priced in. When they announced the additional £400m cash the share price hardly rose and today it's down over 4% - this market is crazy.

Personally this is a great topping up opportunity. Let's hope they announce a new M&A deal on Friday. Solvency is back above 180% and it's been a year since the last purchase.

Dividend should be 27.3p on Friday or 54.6 per annu m. I topped up at 484 including costs which is 12.8% return. No brainer.
