Correction, "the Market Maker effect" Trump has no influence whatsoever on the LSE price of shares

Seems this consolidation issue is still causing problems on some platforms, HSBC InvestDirect are showing it as delisted and un-tradeable. On here it's shown as being up 8.33% yet the bid/mid/ask are exactly the same as yesterdays close.

Not sure whats going on, all sites just showing a bid price of 6p and an ask price of 7p thats a 16% spread but when trying to place an order I just get the response that a price quote cannot be given for this stock. Seems the consolidation has screwed the alogorithm up.

I really cannot understand why people feel they have to post rumours, assumptions and doom n gloom in general without any supporting credible facts. The truth of the matter is that not a single investor (private or institutional) of Evraz PLC really has any detailed factual knowledge of what has actually taken place (or if they do have they're not sharing it), and until that information is in the shareholder domain everything is pure speculation. Do I think we will recoup some part of our investment? No, and I've accepted the £40k loss and moved on. The only glimmer of hope that I can see is the fact that there's been no communication from Evraz PLC to confirm all assets are lost and shares are worthless, and the fact that sanctions are still in place, why would that be if it is only a shell company?

Jeez, somebody sells 250k shares for 280 quid and the SP drops 10%.

It's a micro plant so commissioning should normally be a couple of months, maybe 3.

Jeez, you really need to lose the narcissistic mentality, and stop listening to the mainstream Western biased, Russia/Putin hating media, including GBN. Like I said before, Putin didn't just wake up one morning and decide to invade a sovereign country this has been ongoing since 2014. Tell me why when he took Crimea back in 2014, apart from a few disgruntled words there was no reaction from the West?

I'll tell you why, because the West really didn't have an argument, they were well aware of wide spread persecution of ethnic Russians in the Donbas regions (over 13,000 Killed by 2021), they initiated and supported the 2014 political coup to remove the then pro-Russian president of Ukraine, they pushed Ukraine to block Russian maritime operations in the Black Sea and close Russia's Sevastopol Naval Base, the home of Russia's Black Sea Fleet. This whole fiasco started back in 2014 because of the West yet again interfering in a sovereign nations political structure to achieve regime change for their own benefit. To try and pacify Russia, in 2014 and 2015 the West came up with the Minsk 1 and Minsk 2 agreements, both failed due to non-partisan Ukrainian militias refusing to stop the conflict against ethnic Russians.

Let's fast-forward to 2018 when Ukraine cancelled the 1997 Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation, and Partnership which was based on Recognition of Borders: Russia formally recognized Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, Non-Aggression Clause: Both sides pledged not to use force against each other, Economic & Cultural Cooperation: It encouraged trade, cultural exchange, and mutual respect for national interests. Ukraine used Crimea as the excuse for this, why did it take 4 years for this decision?

It's quite ironic that shortly after this decision Ukraine started banging the drums for Western integration which included becoming part of the EU and a member of NATO. This for Putin was a big red flag and he told Ukraine and the West that no more NATO backed nations would be allowed to border Russia, and that there would be consequences if this was progressed.

The rest as they say is history and why we're seeing the slow but sure obliteration of Ukraine and the massive loss of life.

The mere notion that Ukraine could actually defeat Russia is ludicrous, the West has always known this yet they keep playing their puppet Zelensky telling him to keep fighting whilst at the same time insane amounts of money for arms is being manipulated through the system to the benefit of the elite few.

So yep, it's as simple as that!!

Are you really intelligent enough to see who the villain is? Or is more likely a case of you believing all the biased government aligned mainstream Western media. Maybe try broadening your horizons and look at information provided by independent, non-biased, unaffiliated media outlets because they tell a different story. It's ironic don't you think that now Ukraine are being defeated on all fronts the Western media have gone very quiet!

I am certainly not a supporter of Putin or what he is doing, but he didn't just decide to invade Ukraine because he had nothing else to do, actions by NATO and the West forced his hand and even Trump acknowledges this. Western governments are just as much or more to blame for this fiasco as is Putin.

I wont even bother to make any comments regarding the Wests muppet-ex-comedian-come-president other than he will get his comeuppance sooner rather than later.

Oh and by the way I have over 40,000 shares in EVRAZ so I really do have a vested interest in this issue.

Well, well, well, who'd have thought that would happen!! Just proves what I've been saying all along about the BoD of this company, they've mismanaged and failed at everything from the time they abandoned the original concept of the dining discount platform, when the SP reached £0.0425. The real problem though is AIM itself, it is too easy for companies to list where their only intention is to ultimately line their own pockets at shareholder expense without any repercussions.

Although I'm sure antelope will find some way to put a positive spin on this and assure us that all will be well in the end and everyone will get a return on their investment.

If the BoD had any morals and respect for shareholders they would disolve the company now and distribute the assets to the shareholders but no they're so bare-faced they're going to try relisting as a shell company with no material value and at the same time consider raising capital. Just who would be willing to invest in this company is beyond me! However if they do relist I would not be surprised to see a share price in the region of £0.005 at best, which will be an insult to those who invested here thinking they were going to get a multi-bagger.

There is no current share price, only a suspended share price which reflects the markets reaction at the time sanctions were imposed and all concerned know this is not a true representitive value of the company. If any offer is made to individual private investors (and I doubt there will be) then it will be in accordance with what ever is agreed with the institutional investors. But it's early days yet and still a lot more to come from these actions so no point in speculating just prepare for the worst and hope for the best (as Jack Reacher says).

The issue is not about Russia or Ukraine! It is about UK investors getting shafted by a bunch of political imbeciles who never considered the massive impact the sanctions would have on innocent UK investors. You going on with your blame game is just irrelevant bull and bluster.

I have no idea, just throwing it out there. But I would assume it would mean someone getting a legal cost estimate then dividing that cost by say £500 to determine the minimum amount of PI's needing to be onboard. Then set up an online petition, maybe here and on telegraph, to solicit support, once the number meets or exceeds the minimum required then set up a bank account for contributions. It would all have to be tied up legally so that anyone contibuting gets there money returned in full if not enough support. Maybe it could be done through GoFundMe!

Not matter what you're thoughts are on Russia and Ukraine this action by Russia is totally understandable based on the reasons explained.

It does however highlight the gross incompetence and mis-management of the issue by the UK government by not realising the unintended consequences. By placing trading and operational sanctions on a UK listed company is at the same time sanctioning the 1000's of UK investors of said company and putting over £1 billion of UK national wealth at risk. This action by the UK government amounts to indirect expropriation without compensation, potentially violating international norms with no formal mechanism to protect or comensate affected UK shareholders.

A class action lawsuit (or a group litigation order) is probably the only way UK shareholders will get any chance of redress. It would need to address the issues of indirect expropriation, failure to mitigate investor harm, or proportionality violations under human rights or administrative law, whilst also argueing the government has disproportionately harmed private investors while pursuing foreign policy goals.

UK courts recognize group litigation, especially for cases involving systemic harm or common legal issues but they require clear proof of damage and government overreach, in this case the UK government, in trying to punish a foreign adversary, inadvertently stripped its own citizens of property rights.

It can also be argued that the proportionality test under UK and international law has not been met, especially since no measurable strategic gain has been demonstrated. Evraz continues to operate, and Russia has arguably gained more control over its domestic assets as a result.

Even if the action was not fully successful it would, if a large enough number of investors unite and gain media, parliamentary and institutional backing put pressure the government toward a mediated solution.

Whatever happens one thing is clear for me and that is I will never again vote for any goverment who is prepared to prioritise another county's security over its own citizens financial security.
