RE: Wheres the evidence........19 Mar 2026 09:38
Yes your right I have all the answers to my questions as I got advice on both options from my company's auditors, who are a major international corporation who also broker for institutional investors and fund managers. The point of the exercise was to see if you can give the correct responses to justify the position you've taken on advocating the PJSC EVRAZ NTMK option!
Point 1. You didn't answer the question - why is it still sanctioned when you claim it's just a shell with no assets and debt laden?
Point 2. Please provide the detail as to where they informed shareholders that Evraz PLC is a dead duck? Also this is nothing to do with either, giving advise, nor individuals, but rather providing any options that are available and can be persued at the individuals discretion.
Point 3. Pure waffle, either answer the question asked or admit that you don't know. And yes I would certainly like Martin Lewis to explain.
Point 4. No I am not trying to make a point that you don't have UK legal protection, the point I am making is that you don't have any legal protection at all. And when things eventually get sorted and sanctions lifted part of that process will be the return of siezed assets and asset swops, Evraz PLC shareholders will have the UK government acting on their behalf, those who followed your suit will have no one representing them as you effectively broke UK sanction law. As to part B that you want to ignore, I'm not surprised, who in their right mind would engage in an investment with an unlisted company and have no idea what their investment is actually worth. In response to your reply regarding type C accounts, it is highly unlikely these will ever be entirely removed even after sanctions are lifted, the conscensious is that you will only be able to trade using a Russian principal.
Point 5. You have just exemplified, either your naivety or stupidity, by entering in to an investment structure in a foreign country renowned for its high level of corruption and asset theft without any knowledge or means in place to ensure you can actually operate your investment or to repatriate your funds.
Point 6. Again failed to answer the question asked. And yes you can sell your shares back to the UK company during the trading windows that are set by the company.
I think based on your responses you are the one who's being ridiculous, you obvisously went into this without any due dilligence or professional advise, you have no idea what your investment is actually worth, you have no means at all to mange your investment and you have no vehicle in place to be able to repatriate any funds. If you had sought professional advise and looked at what the major UK investors of Evraz PLC were doing it would have been made very clear to you to not go down the very high risk, bureaucratic nightmare route of PJSC EVRAZ NTMK.
Like I mentioned previously I wrote this down to a zero value on my balance sheet and if all else fails will use it to off-set capital g
