hi graham thanks for your regards i sold out of tw just over a week ago bought into bdev for the pre dividend surge soon as i sold tw they start rising sods law more the dividend plan is to sell bdev just before the dividend as i dont want to left with a tax bill on the dividend amount i bought at exactly 555p they did go lower still a couple days later to 546 but that is investing for you have tom admit i am happy with the rise so far best of luck with tw to all the other holders as well i have no doubt they will also go up maybe even test the 180s possibly next year up but there will also be frustrating times as well

nige you are wrong tw have outperformed barratt during the last week that is why i am a little frustrated as wondering i might as well have left my money in tw

hi nige i hung on in there yes i also believe the rise will happen up to ex divi day but we now need to start outperforming tw as we have both sold out of tw and bought bdev for the pre dividend rise which has yet to happen we need to pick up ten pence at least this week and hopefully the institutional investors start buying soon best of luck with your purchase on monday

good result today chaps it was getting pretty scary at 545.40p thought it would go sub 545p but great turnaround back to my buy in price 555p

i am very surprised that less than 4 weeks to go to ex dividend there are no significant large buys if the share price is going to be around the 600p mark or above there has to be some significant movement next week we need some days where the share price picks up more than ten pence in a day

kd 47 my guess is 575p

i am pretty certain we will not even reach the 600p mark there is just too much uncertainty around the brexit situation and house price inflation has slowed so we are at the peak of the housing cycle and leaked comments by carney at the cabinet certainly not helping our share price close to 545p

hi bamps you are right about the stop losses also if i do sell bdev at 545 if it gets that low that means that is another losing trade and i have to make that money back somewhere else easier said than done i hope it does not get that low and hope for a better week for bdev and tw next week my prediction of the fall of 40p is on the day the dividend is paid if the brexit situation is not sorted out by then i would not like to be in housing shares then too much uncertainty which plays into the hands of the marketmakers

i am also pretty worried about this might have to put a stop loss on bdev at 545 do not wanting to be holding for months at a loss like i did with tw

i am more a trader than an investor markbelluk but i agree it is quite a dangerous game to play jumping ship too often by the way did you notice the day trade in bdev today the buy and sell of over 20000 shares for about a 600 pounds profit

yes tom i also should have got into bdev much earlier i dont intend to keep hold of these for the dividend as i expect a 40p fall minimum the next day so just hoping for a rise but that is easier said than done with the current sentiment in the housing market and political situation regarding brexit just hope for a close above 553p today
