Legal and general up 12% over 2 years so you would have been about 30% better off investing in legal general than aviva over a 2 year period

Aviva has been a good investment over 3 months and 1 year also there are a lot of opportunities for short term trades but over a 2 year period it has been very solid and dependable in eroding your capital by 18%

Does aviva not have a debt of about 9 billion pounds so really you cannot call it a cash rich company the cash it does have it has to hold legally for emergencies so really does not count whilst I agree that aviva is undervalued even with the present middle eastern crisis the share price is dictated by supply and demand until you get some serious buying by the institutional investors the price is not going to increase much from here also slight downside risk you also have the problem with the day traders who trading the swings of 4p and upwards thus limiting any share price rise

I expect a pull back when Iran retaliates for the killing of the general so could revisit 411p

People selling yesterday at 411p absolute mugs unless you really needed the money why would you sell aviva at 411p with a dividend yield of 7% but good luck those who bought yesterday at 411p unfortunately I have bought at a much higher price and have no spare money to buy on any dips

Of course investors in BP and shell and gold shares will be loving this lol

I believe aviva is undervalued but you will have a very long wait for 500p as most brokers are downgrading target prices the majority well below 500p it cannot even get past 430p after the win by the tories with a big majority the immediate problem will be if the situation in the middle east escalates as undoubtedly Iran will retaliate and this could lead to all out war depressing markets for a prolonged period

Furious at myself for not selling yesterday at 426p and buying back shares again sub 426p it is now getting too predictable it gets to about 425p 426p then retreat sub 420 happened 3 tImes in the last 2 weeks some very big sells yesterday should have picked up on it

Was looking good for today until that imbecile Donald authorised drone attack in Iran any excuse for the market makers to mark the shares lower even if there is a war in the middle east will that stop people buying car and home insurance and investing in pensions

Great start to the morning up about 7p to 426p as usual just cannot hold on to any decent gains will be lucky to end up 3p on the day absolutely patheti6

We are now at the price the day before capital markets day announcement 419p on November 20 no real gain from the election result what will it take for this slumbering giant to post a decent rally

Good recovery last week from the lows of 417p to 425p only for it to give the gains back in 3 trading days on no bad news at all it is going to be a long hard slog for this dog to revover

Has most of you have realised on here legal and general has outperformed aviva over 1 and 2 years up over 30% in a year 14% over 2 years has for the supposed takeover I cannot see it there is just no big buys happening here for weeks only big sells the institutional investors are staying away also the big private investors also can you blame them
