Forgot to mention the prudential which has also recovored significantly from its lows and even on a one year basis is down only twenty per cent unlike aviva which is down over fourty per cent

The poster who said on here that Aviva is relatively stable must have been drunk when posting the volatility has been to the downside recently with some spectacular falls often resulting in the appearance in the ftse100 top fallers chart admittedly other shares have also fallen but a lot like itv taylor wimpey barrats legal and general have made significant gains from there lows of at least thirty per cent unlike Aviva

Yes until a vaccine is found there is no clear way out of this lockdown there is a genuine fear from people about returning to work also the workshy who are on 100 per cent wages will be using the virus as an excuse to not return to work

Oxygen I agree with what you are saying in fact we could be looking at the worst recession in 300 years but surely everything is priced into the low share price of aviva

Karv I agree with you much easier to day trade when you are up I am significantly down on aviva so very tempted to day trade to get some back but my last experience last week when I lost 3k just added to my losses so will have to think carefully about doing it again

Drunken sod the point the recovery in legal and general in percentage terms is greater in percentage terms from the lows than Aviva I agree with you with day trading that if you get it wrong you will have to add money from your own pocket to buy back the same number of shares you have just sold I tried it recently with Aviva went wrong over 3 grand down selling and buying same number of shares back sods law

Great day for the ftse100 not so great for aviva has lagged the rise in the ftse from 5000pts to 6000pts only great for day traders

Day traders buying at around the 230p level last week will be offloading at the 245p level like taking candy from a baby

As usual the rise for aviva evaporates going into close from a high of 240p looking like a 236p very dissapointing will be lucky to finish above 240p by Friday close

The dow jones looking likely to get over 24000 today terrific performance from the lows in March this dog has not kept up with that rise seriously wondering if the board have something to hide regarding coranavirus losses

Running to stand still with aviva dissapointing rise we are where we were on Thursday up about twelve per cent from the low of about 210p legal and general up about fourty per cent from the low of 140p

Karv dividends won't restart at over 30p a share i think we will be lucky if they restart at 10p a share for the full year going up by the rate of inflation every year

Otto if you follow my posts you will know that I am invested in aviva but unfortunately bought at the peak when they were trading above 500p just under 2 years ago that is why I am dissapoint with the share price performance
