Down or flat everyday this week the only people making money from aviva are the shorters and the board at aviva

Ftse100 up or down makes no difference to aviva share price it will fall

Thanks for that article kinginbad this is what I have been saying ever since the dividend cancellation also voicing my displeasure at the steady decline in share price which started long before coranavirus I sometimes get some critical reviews from the Johnny come latelys but the consensus view on this board now is that the management is totally inept and are running Aviva for their own benefit not the shareholders benefit

I think a lot of institutional investors are just dumping the stock lately also private investors because of the downtrend by the time the update comes in may we could be trading at about 2 pounds so even if the update is good maybe we will get a 10 pence rise bringing it up to 210p if the update is bad expect it to get hammered on an already depressed share price

It was worrying that yesterday when the ftse was up over 100pts aviva was flat so it follows it is going to be down when the ftse falls a lot of people will be selling now because no reason to hold no guidance from the board apart from their charitable donations and the trend is downwards

Prussell there will be a big hit on profits for 2020 but you expect a reduced dividend for that year the final dividend which was cancelled was for the year ending 2019 when Aviva posted record profits and coranavirus did not affect financial performance the board folded under pressure from the pra showing no regard for the many loyal shareholders at the same time they have made a donation of ten million to the Red cross and another five million nice to know where their priorities lie

I think no point looking at the share price anymore because now you just know it will be down on the rare days it posts a rise it will be tiny and and usually wiped out the next day by the time the AGM comes around we could be sub 2 pounds

Prussell there is no interim dividend as well what the board have said is they will reconsider dividend payments in the fourth quarter so you are not even guaranteed a payment then by way of a special dividend but if coranavirus was such a big issue why did legal and general standard life and phoenix still went and paid their dividend

Yes Aviva is only up about thirteen per cent from the low of about 210p legal and general is up over thirty per cent from the low of 140p people some people on here say they are in it for the long term but I am sure people were saying this when they invested at over 500p a share after all the whole point of share investing is to try to make money with Aviva it is going into bat at lord's with one hand tied behind your back

I agree bubbles my concern is why do not the big institutional investors apply pressure on the board of directors or are they happy for the destruction in wealth on there shareholdings
