Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Hi all. I don’t know if this has been asked before. But can the results from progression to serious illness and death be combined across the phase 2 hospital and home trial, and the phase 3 trial ? I assume SNG will be looking at this now. Any chance the increased numbers could give a statistically significant result ? Or is this just clutching at straws ? Regards.
The phase 2 home trial results took 113 days to announce. Which would take you to 21st Feb. Do we officially know who is crunching the numbers in any case, is it Paraxel, is it data magic, is it Synairgen themselves, or are they all working together on it. Who knows. I certainly feel were in the results window, we could hear something anytime now really.
They might not wait for the 90 day results as that will take too long. But it is 90 days since LPD next week so it for sure looks like they are waiting for this milestone to pass. I suppose waiting will protect the integrity of the 90 day data so makes sense.
Can I ask what the US listing of SNG is ? Is this in addition to the 200M uk shares in circulation ? I’m a bit confused as to how it’s relationship with the main SNG and why the company would do this ?
RM said in his presentation that recruitment slowed in the last month because hospitals got too full with COVID patients and ironically this meant hospitals did not have as many resources for the trials. Although it is possible that if some countries have met their quota then certain hospitals might no longer be active. Maybe a bit of both.
H2 was the estimated timeframe for trial results last time we heard. Now the trial will probably be full mid November and results January. This isn’t a 3 month delay, H2 ends December so it’s a 1 month delay at the most. Disappointing this won’t be in hospitals in time for winter but the share price drop seems like a huge over reaction. Could have been a lot worse.
To be honest im inclined to agree, the reason they are doing their half year results tomorrow is because they have got to ! If they had specific news to report they would have to report it. And they havent. So i dont see how there can be anything game changing to say, except to update us on how things are progressing, when the main trial is due to end. Cash position. Manufacture. Activ 2. All good stuff to be updated on. But i dont expect anything material.
I think if there was something noteworthy to report they can’t just sit on it for 2 weeks, they would have to announce it straight away. On this basis my prediction for the interims next week is no new data, but progress updates on all the trials and financials. More would be nice, but I don’t see how it’s possible.
Woodstock, when you say this is a 12 month hold, I agree that the key to unlock the door is the large phase 3 trial, maybe a month or two to fill it up and then another month or so to get the results. Is your 12 month hold also broadly working to this timeline, and you are just saying you feel it will take 12 months for this share to realise its full potential ? Like maybe your thinking they will need 12 months worth of sales behind them ?
Hi all. In this mornings RNS it states the phase 3 "sprinter" trial is approved by regulators in 12 countries ( including UK ), with 5 more due to follow. I know some people have been tracking this in previous posts, seems to be like maybe this trial is in a few more countries currently than what we thought ? Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this ?
The thing that caught my eye on this announcement was that it says the data will remain blinded both to the company and also to the regulator, the only people who have seen it are a panel. So my question is, if they apply the same rules to SNG, would this make the possiblity of an EUA after phase 2 of warp speed much more unlikely ?
I’m not a fan of all the conspiracy theories against the government. Their support in getting the trials done though the NHS, P3 trials on a priority fast track status. This treatment isn’t proven until it’s proven. Maybe the government are closer to what’s going on than we think. Although I agree the on the face of it the USA warp speed seems like it’s going to be the key that unlocks the first door.
Is a takeover a formality ? Surely the directors of SNG are aware of the real value of the business and why would they sell it for less than what it is worth ? If OWS is a success and is followed up by an order to purchase some product from the USA, then you would presume the business would be sat on a fat wedge of cash and therefore under no pressure to sell up whatsoever. RM was talking about franchising in his last interview, maybe they have come to the conclusion that going it alone for the time being is better than selling up for a measly £5 a share.
