The ASX listing is GGP specific and unrelated to Havieron progress albeit the uncertainty around the structure is causing some trepidation - but more so for existing PI's I'd say.

The delays we really need to have removed are the delay in DFS and DTM due to the Optimisation Studies being fed into the DFS and perhaps the need for Newmont to hold the reins before it can be published. The MRE at elast will give us some idea of the DFS contents in some regards as will be fed into it.

But once we do get a DFS/DTM it's worth remembering that usually insto's would then be looking to finance the development of the mine and infrastructure from scratch but we're already well into that process and with existing infrastructure already in place too and near production vs a fair few years away - hopefully that alongside the economics retaining their world class AISC through the optimisation studies , our funding in place and with world class partners and banks in relation to peers will make us more attractive than other projects with a recent DTM to insto's etc.

Who knows as for most of us it's a never travelled path but as I was discussing with a few others today just earlier we're a bit unique to the Lassonde Curve as in not an exact match and while our Orphan Period was extended longer than we thought due to these delays, we have a shorter time period for the 2nd wave up. Again, in theory - we find out in next 12 months.

Whether there is an economic discovery or not hasn't been determined at the Scally or Juri targets and many of us have learnt the tough way that under cover exploration entails multi year campaigns. Not just here but across many an explorer looking in the region with newer investors expecting Havieron type hits with early drill phases, as I watch most of our peers working in the Paterson.

As with Decka for instance, good to understand drill activity through the company before getting excited such as shallower targets there so lends itself to RC drilling and more holes vs less and deeper holes with DC for deeper targets elsewhere. As I posted the other day, we should accept under cover exploration entails multi year campaigns to ascertain what we have or don't have across our tenements and always await results and/or clarity on any activity that seems irregular around any targets - no point in hindsight if you don't learn from the insights and adapt your approach.

GGP has to be clear there is ambiguity with the current situation with the bid I would think hence the wording and Shaun himself has discussed the potential and commercial viability of Havieron having it's own processing plant and that it was never explored by Newcrest as for them the remit was always about feeding Telfer before it's own dwindling feed ran dry.

Yep - and extended excerpt for a bit more context, it's nothing to do with Newmont's plans IMO which will be Newmont's not Newcrest's WHEN they take over. We also have no idea if Newmont continue with quarterly exploration reporting if it doesn't align with the processes and procedures they have in place. Some things we will only know once they take over and start acting as the owners but I assume GGP will continue reporting themselves if not.

But not enough actual evidence to sway me one way or another about what Newmont might intend to do with Havieron as very strong arguments for them retaining it and Telfer in a long term outlook for a pivotal position in a growing gold province or alternatively disposing if looking for quicker optimisation of portfolio due to initial production profile and a desire to appease shareholders with quicker generation of ROI and cash knowing a quick sale could be transacted with GGP and it's partners more than willing.

Newmont aren't in charge yet so I would say presumptions about their future plans are tough to call until they take over and we see how they manage the assets, reporting and initiate and carry out that optimisation. As I say, we have no compelling evidence to suggest their plans for Havieron and Telfer yet IMHO :-)

Bit early to assume what Newmont want isn't it as they don't own the assets yet.

Funny how some of these posterss appear when just over certain support levels and then these whiners stop posting ... maybe just a coincidence? Maybe not. Perhaps Plode is upset we're not back to the 6's as he alluded to last week... almost like he wants us there.

Why do you think it is guaranteed? Flesh out your theory then Implode? I won't say it is impossible but do feel it is unlikely. I think simply offering insto's a cheap entry will be hard for Shaun to get past shareholders as part of what is assumed still to be a Cross NOT Dual listing unless we hear different in the proposed listing structure in next couple of months.

So anything that MIGHT be proposed (and remember we'll see a proposal we get to vote on BEFORE the ASX listing will need to have a more accretive reason such as a revenue or near term revenue acquisition or opportunity to purchase Hav/Telfer outright for any funds to be raised via new shares to ensure the proposal being voted through IMO.

However, I don't think that a new acquisition or an opportunity to purchase Hav/Telfer is likely by September quarter conclusion personally so not expecting a general share issuance just to let ASX insto's in cheaply. There will those that are mandated to invest on an ASX listing too from my understanding, so some demand will be generated just through the process of listing detailed in previous interviews by Shaun Day.

My advice is wait to get excited once we have results that confirm something is there, always fun to follow the drilling via sat images but I do recall that the GGP exploration approach is to also confirm if something doesn't hit as planned to get a better understanding of why it didn't to then aid future drilling of other targets to increase success.

We got ourselves over excited on some of the satellite targets to no avail by presuming success from our own analysis of the drilling activity inc. our neighbour Artemis. It's seems evident that the Paterson is indeed a very prospective region and very likely that other discoveries will be made but also becoming very clear to me following GGP campaigns closely and increasing my own knowledge that under cover exploration is very very difficult even with a talented team like ours. Very dare I say 'hit and miss' :-))

It seems that the norm will be that the campaigns will be multi-year and require a number of phases identifying and drilling targets to potentially zone in on any deposits such as with Scallywag and JURI etc. Newcrest were more than happy to let us manage Juri JV far beyond the time they'd have let other juniors do so and perhaps only the NEM bid and our Rio deal are why they have taken control back.

Rio are more than happy to let us loose too, so the capability is there and being recognised by majors with huge teams and expertise of their own. If anyone is going to make the next big discovery in the Paterson, I'd say a combination of our quality tenements and skillset make us a leading contender by far :-))

These notes sometimes have useful info. of a technical nature on how they might break something down about data or how they've predicted future revenue etc. but to be arguing about their targets/fair price etc. is a waste of time. At the end of the day the price of something is what someone is willing to buy or sell at and I've yet to see a published note affect that. I doubt this note is going to affect the SP in any way whatsoever...

Always the same, if the targets are positive then the note is taken as a positive and vice versa but rarely if ever on these forums are the contents dissected and discussed in a mature manner, just these pointless arguments over the target/forecast. I always consider the context and perspective of any analysis created for a stock I own and don't look for conformity to my own desired outcome, no point reading something unless you're willing to consider the data/analysis and then make conclusions surely?

Also important to be aware that the authors/organisation have their own motives and requirements so Fair Value and target prices are more like marketing to me. And fundamentally aren't we all traders unless intending to hold each and every share till death?

Just a growing theory in my head that the ASX is likely planned post MRE update from NCM to use the updated and larger numbers as momentum and if for some reason NCM don't release an updated one then GGP might release thier own to then go ahead and utilise in conjunction with the ASX listing.

The good news, though, is that Newmont noted that inflationary pressures have stabilized in the case of energy, fuel, and commodities, which confirms what Northern Star (OTCPK:NESRF) noted in its fiscal Q4 (CY-Q2) results. Hence, the worst of the inflationary pressures look to be behind the sector, suggesting that we have likely seen the worst of costs sector-wide for most producers with a better setup heading into H2-2023 and 2024.

As I said Freddie - Lurker5's... sorry I mean Jon Cornball... oops I meant John Cornford's 'analysis' has a lot to be desired as can be seen from LA's rebuttal and those made by some of us against his previous articles. It usually takes a while to write a rebuttal for his articles as he makes so many glaring mistakes or omissions - it's absolutely ridiculous he considers himself an expert.

But hey, we don't see the cry babies plaguing these forums take the time to break stuff down like this ever... they only seem to lose their marbles over anything positive and forever asking others to flesh out their arguments, all the while offering nothing besides empty, rude and infantile rhetoric in turn. Let's try this again with you as you have failed to answer in the past... firstly what would have been the correct steps for any CEO to have taken through the significant challenges both in terms of events such as option exercise, sector/market sentiment, NCM related and now Newmont factors and external forces for GGP? I ever critique something I usually detail exactly what I am unhappy about and why it was wrong IMO.

Secondly, as we're all doomed here for mass dilution and being sold down the river to the Ozzie's... why not realise your loss/gains to date and exit? Nothing better to do that whinge and wring your hands and take no action?

Take some action besides spending all day crying on chat boards about your own investment decisions, you've had over 2 years to exit at any point as have all of us, making profits is not guaranteed especially in AIM where the likelihood of failure is higher than success.

While you accuse everyone of happy clapping while driving over the cliff edge in your doomsday scenario, looks like you'll be sat with us babbling and crying like a baby... which makes no sense... why are you still invested given your predictions... very odd 🤔

Loftmonkey, what do you do when like yourself you are convinced a stock you own isn't going to have an improved outlook or rerate when it transitions from development to production?

Sell out or spend months by now moaning on chat boards about it, take stock (pun intended) of the situation, consider your options and then take action. Making decisions is part of this whole process of investing, either try investing elsewhere or stick it in the bank.

Not really that hard, you realise your losses\profits and move as in your case you see no upside. You think the GGP board spend time sifting through LSE chat forums or indeed most leadership teams of any organisation listed on anything...

For those saying there have been no information or updates from Shaun ... link to latest transcripts of some interviews here inc. links to the video sources etc. so you can assess for yourselves what he's been able to divulge within the rules of late about such topics as the ASX listing and the Oz article that suggested a raise was a certainty (disputed by Shaun as a certainty as per RA's post).

I haven't had time to cover some smaller Proactive type bulletins or a couple here or there from Sunday Roast guys etc. of late as too busy nowadays but comprehensive updates available in those I have from Liam and TH's etc.. In the main, those I have missed of late are either short form bulletins and/or repeat the information of those I have covered without any new insights or info. anyhow :-)

Hi Jiffy, yes it was Z who exposed him as Lurker5 on ADVFN to give credit where it is due and also Hydro calling him out on GGPChay and am also sure it's the same guy having then read his posts on there.

His articles on the website are poorly researched and full of glaring errors in general as he's covered other stocks I am familiar with and in fact been positive about some of them. He's just completely rubbish at what he does now and whether his errors are purposeful for his clients as you say or just pure laziness and ineptitude, who knows?!

Read thru his posting history on ADVFN when that first article came to mind and he was often using the same points as Cornball's articles and also some similarities in language use and description of himself in line with Cornford's background, age etc. from what I recall from back then .

He was also very defensive of any critique of those points but never enough to address directly when I posted a rebuttal on the Master Investor website to the article mind you. Now of course it might not be him but if so then he's obsessed by him I guess but for sure I'm never wasting time going through either Lurkers or Cornball's rubbish :-)
