I didn't understand your last paragraph, you mean you're not in agreement about some deal in background already in play for Telfer? I agree with that also actually.

While I think Wyloo open many potential M&A opportunities elsewhere, any funding partner would be thinking about our current commitment to Havieron and the fact the DFS hasn't confirmed the numbers, you'd want to understand this as a lender I feel to then feel confident about loaning money out to GGP for anything else.

If we see an ASX listing and MRE update before year end then there have been no background discussions with Newmont this year IMO.

If we head into Feb 2024 with no DFS/DTM for Havieron from NEM then I'll start to warm up to the idea they are considering divestment, until then it seems more like wish fulfilment than a logical conclusion based off any evidence (I've see nothing compelling) or statements made by Shaun as he's pretty much stated he's letting NEM get on with the deal.

2024 is another matter if we get into Feb where NEM plan to update the market without a DFS/DTM as at some point surely their own shareholders want confirmation of any development projects, especially those as advanced as Havieron already.

Hi CP, all IMO but in theory timeframes for ASX listing might get pushed back a bit if company restructure not voted through as I'm assuming the prospectus and application will be based on the desired restructure we will be asked to approve, so the plan appears to be to get the approval for restructure and then apply for ASX listing within 7 days of lodging the prospectus?

So (in theory again) if restructure not voted through the team may need to tweak the prospectus and application before submitting them, so in a way because of the sequence of events - they are quite inter-dependent IMO.

As things stand it appears we'll be publishing our own MRE and listing on ASX by year end (subject to a company restructure being voted through) and these are OUR plans not shared plans with NCM albeit they'll be invited to peer review the GGP MRE.

Last night the outcome was contingent on NCM/NEM strategy.... as I said yesterday evening, whatever the outcome in regards to MRE, the evening itself was a catalyst as now Shaun can move ahead with publishing a GGP MRE as NCM didn't update Havieron.

He can now be offensive rather than defensive as such, at least we're out of neutral gear after months of waiting for last nights outcome 🙂

@Oxygen, surely a DFS/DTM and securing of funding whether it happens next week or in 2024 provides the same outcome of a project green lit for production and GGP in position to fund it's share of costs as funding already in position to proceed.

The DFS will help quantify the economics for GGP, the catalysts may have become delayed but to date the development and production plan remain on target. I suspect it means a lower SP than we might have had on production commencing but mid or long term perhaps negligible once we clear all the hurdles for those holding for next few years. Still your money and your choice but just querying your logic, your investment was events based rather than TA etc. so surely if those events are triggered you pull your trigger?

Unless you see the delays as indicative of other potential issues? These delays aren't due to GGP, rather NEM swooping in to acquire NCM along with NCM conducting optimisation studies to feed into planned DFS and most likely now a revised mining plan being considered as more data to hand to understand a complex ore body that will have different zonations being mined using different techniques during it's multi decade lifecycle.

No doubt a draft has been prepared for MRE and now they'll go to independent peer and run past NCM and submit etc

Of course you would wait until you knew which might have been a few days or weeks ago so they will have initiated the process whenever that was or even today if they didn't.

You don't go and spend all that effort and money of peer review and submission until you know, building a draft was probably mostly internal effort through staff...

Hi Panama, currently the more likely explanation is that there isn't a deal for Telfer in play so ASX listing and MRE update is planned by year end as else we would just be pushing the price tag up ourselves ;-)

Things might change in next few months but looking at the available evidence at this time and stated strategy by Shaun, by year-end we are listed in ASX and will have published an independent MRE, the more probable outcome based on current information at this time as such... but 4 months is a long time so I am open minded :-)

So perhaps MRE in Q4 from GGP when you would expect ASX listing to go live if lodged in Q3, unlikely we would be publishing if buying Hav and Telfer surely with a deal in background already?

@Dobbs - Hopefully we'll see you post such useful content as Bamps and Malva one day. As a detail orientated type I've been immensely grateful for all of Bamps hard work and learnt a lot from him - but I've never confused technical breakdowns and potential for directly correlating to the SP, if investing was as simple as then we'd all be Warren Buffet.

The best mines in the world aren't insulated from asset prices, supply and demand, market sentiment or a host of risks across many areas from geopolitical to engineering challenges. Your posts are devoid of anything useful in evaluating GGP and mostly targeted at personal insults towards others, many of whom have built a level of respect from fellow investors, hardly a ringing endorsement to be judging others.

Hey Tymers - you do realise you have a posting history although we all know what you post isn't necessarily the truth - if ever lol

You lost 5 lego luxury cars and 2 monopoly mansions on ARB - and how did all that ramping on UKOG work out for you in the past kid... swings and roundabouts and sometimes you have to hold through volatility for longer term ROI. Your 'wins' are as mythical as the calculations on your 88p - your calcs don't exist in this or any parallel universe, prove me wrong!

And I always get in at very low averages on speculative investments, often just after a placing or sentiment driven drop - makes me able to sit through volatility if I get my strategy wrong. It happens but 2020 was kind to my portfolio in general and so far any mistake I made has plenty of probability in still working out very well my pompous little bestie :-)

How often do you see me upset or angry, unlike you... think that says it all about our portfolio's BFF as unlike you I've never had an issue admitting lessons learnt and mistakes made, anyone who only ever claims wins is usually full of ... :-))

Probably just have some trading as per typical on AIM, doubt some speculative opinions from everyone but Newmont in a short article will affect the SP that much... at this juncture only Newmont know what they are planning, everyone else inc. GGP is just guessing.

If you're not trading then watching the SP and being emotionally excited or disappointed in turn is such a waste of life, the real benefit of these boards should be sharing info. and opinions not emoting about intraday SP IMO :-)

The SP will either recover and have a proper sustained rise once we see the catalysts a mine going into production should or it won't, ASX listing outcome will be the first big test if Shaun can deliver on shareholder value as we should be able to see if it entices Oz insto's into the company, especially once DFS/DTM delivered.

@UKtrader, TBH I knew no chance we'd get a reply regarding a potential future raise or updates beyond the recent RNS's but I wanted them to understand what concerns and frustrations are on many of our minds as the timeline has kept moving, I feel the company is very disconnected from us humble PI's since Bill moved on.

Hopefully they take on the feedback and concerns from those of us who did contact them and look at improving comms, a presentation taking us through the DFS would be ideal IMO as a good bit of PR but also highlight the project viability to the general market if it gains enough attention and hopefully we get more clarity on the timelines.
