RE: Top up13 Feb 2019 17:58
I do not need to top up - other than beer in pint glass. Just did a calculation on back of beer mat and found, to my surprise, that savings from visiting Marstons pubs for lunch, dinner and valentines (tomorrow) with Marstons card amounted to a £200 per year (£200.89 to be precise). For my holding of Marstons, this equates to overall yield in excess of 10% (10.6 to be precise). Best investment ever - and fantastic beer to boot. Whats really worrying, is that in addition to the great Hobgoblin, the pubs I visit (Star at Sidcup, Jenny Wren, Mast & Rigging, Poppy Fields) all serve a fantastic fish and chips ! Staff at pubs keep asking me about shareholding, and cannot believe the yield on Marston's shares which seems safe (to me). Must rush now, off to pub to boost profits...
