Saddened to see Natwest and RBS personal customers having their accounts hacked and then scammed of their savings. But worse is the frankly lame response from bank blaming the customers for moving their money and offering no compensation. The circumstances that convice customers to move funds are quite compelling.
Seems scammers hack into accounts, get full customer personal and payment details, change account name to frozen/under review/suspended before phoning customers displaying the same number as the banks fraud line before persuading customer to move money to a 'safe' account. Needless to say, that is the last the customer ever sees of their money and banks claims not to be not responsible for what sounds like a major security breach. Don't think we have heard the end of this yet ...

Incompetent government ? I would say unnecessary government. Thought Brexit would remove a whole layer of expensive government - ie European government. But on this showing, clearly the best outcome would be the elimination of the costly, useless UK government, and keep the Europeans. No room for both IMO. Pros : RNO are tackling the sliding profits with a three-point plan which involves cutting costs, driving efficiency through a new facility in China, and planning select acquisitions.
Cons: turnaround could take longer to effect than expected, especially if the US-China trade war heats up or the global economy cools down.

Had a quick look at their article which wittered on about how RBS has paid off its legacy issues (not mentioning the latest skeleton revealed just this week) and not referring to the fact that the next labour government will keep control and use RBS as its own cash cow.

glasgowpunter - I do not have a specific international brewer in mind, but certainly believe that a further drop in value of pound would bring in someone - possibly from europe. However, as of this morning, with Brexit effectively in rear view mirror, the pound is likely to strengthen so reducing the chance of any international bid. As for sp, this usually rises as Brexit is bashed so assume a further rise is on the cards. More importantly, summer is coming and another scorcher like last year should give brewers a boost. Brokers range from 100-120. I think Numis have got it right (120).
