Believe he is usually known as something else but full marks for cutting (yes cutting) the surcharge on bank profits over and above corporation tax to 3% from 8%. This partly offsets the planned rise in corporation tax from 19% to 25%, giving banks a combined rate of 28%. Good that fears of a significant additional tax raid are now in rear view mirror.

Yup. Dunno why. Does not seem to have gone ex growth. Profit and divi forecasts rising for next three years. Truly global so UK mini budget should not have that much impact. But this is KLR, anything goes.

Breaches of the Retail Banking Order (part eight of article 32) !
CMA says that Ulster Bank failed to display the correct annual percentage rate (APR) in an SME lending product for some periods between 2017 and 2022. In addition to this horrendous breach, the bank incorrectly displayed the interest rate, a component of the APR, instead of the full APR !
“NatWest’s failure to provide the correct APR to price comparison websites and other third parties for its Ulster Bank Variable Rate Loan may have led to SMEs choosing a more expensive loan than they otherwise would have done,” the CMA’s letter read.
The bank identified 97 instances where SMEs could have been presented with the wrong APR because they used a third-party site that was provided with inaccurate information.
Really ? Even I feel sorry for Ulster Bank ...
At least CMA is not fining NWG for the above atrocity.
In meantime, onwards and upwards.

NWG now a top 10 holding in Fidelity Special Values investment trust.
Believes NWG in line for further upgrades.
Earnings estimates for 2023 have more than doubled over the last two years and are still being upgraded.

Pantx, you are spot on. Barclays paid me the special as 16p and no less than 6 decimal points rather than 16.8. When I queried why, I got no explanation merely that the special divi was not 16.8 but 16.79nnnn I frankly could not be bothered to continue chasing them for less than the half pint owed. It took long enough just to find out the rate they actually paid which does not appear in print anywhere. They did pay the divi promptly (second working day), which was good. They did pay the associated divi to the exact amount at the same time.

Barclays still not paid Interim divi from two Friday's ago because company paid them wrong amount !? Anyone else still waiting ?

Horrendous. Impacting results for this and next year. Will require resuscitation from Group to continue. Hard to believe. Surprised sp not sunk no pun intended.

By 10 business days was what I was told but divis appeared this afternoon. Strangely, still waiting for KLR divi from 2 Fridays ago. Told KLR had paid wrong amount and BARC could not pay divi yet due to financial legislation !

Held in Westminster Abbey, clearly named after illustrious firm with same name ...
