Having got into this share recently having looked across TW, Crest ....I see the biggest challenge here is not the underlying business, market , land bank ... but the ability to execute the order book and turn into free cash. While interest rate ...is a market challenge, supply imbalance remains and while it is so this should be a solid performer

The more a look at this share the more insane it is. Last years profit after tax > 70% of market cap. Full listing on LSE and still trading. Positive outlook on Gold as hedge to inflation and potential to de-risk and add value should they split. Holding div to ensure cash cover to weather Ukraine challenge. I have invested and wish I had balanced slightly less with EVR and more in Pol. I cannot see how once we get to cease fire ... this cannot be at least a 4 to 5 x gain . This would still give a very strong Div from FCF at this level.

If Poly shows pursues a successful split of Russian assets versus other over next few weeks, do we think this will demonstrate option to EVR for value add and reduce risk. Comments in FT this morning.

Just topped up a little in ISA to protect future dividends / gain. Price is now down at pre update. Crazy given positive underlying business. Looking forward to either business split or resolution of business as usual...

I joined this BB for sharing of information that relates to the Company / Investment with like minded people of which there are some on here. While some Geopolitical background may be relevant here but if you want a platform for political opinions please use another channel.

Now to the share price. Given yesterdays updates it just reconfirms the disconnect with market view. Does anyone have a view on when brokers etc may put out their thoughts or will this be held off as too sensitive right now

Can anyone tell me if the debt is primarily Russian raised ?. Just considering comment re allocation of debt in split ad higher servicing cost if Russian in future with their underlying interest rates

Thanks for clarification. If they manage to make this happen then I see this as both de-risking and potentially value creating (market will decide). Either way effectively as it stands in share price currently Russian assets currently value destructive. Ultimately then C £5 per share each (subject to overheads ...) or negative currently for Russian assets.

If they split the assets from Russia I assume that would that result in 2 listings (one LSE / one Russia) and therefore effectively giving no real value to UK shareholders in Russian element. While comfortable the non Russian assets worth > current share price it would be interesting to see how we get any value from Russian cash generating assets going forward

The investor update overall seems reassuring so far although no significant movement on the market as yet. I suspect this will all rely on peace. I like the inflationary hedge so thinking a further slug although I do have Russian risk exposure on EVR

Not convinced about the argument that the BOD should not be updating its stakeholders on trading. While shares suspended so no market view, it becomes even more important to ensure good governance is being observed and some news on auditors would help in this regard.
I posted a comment a couple of weeks go re Azovstal. This is as i understand it the largest steel provider to Ukraine. I suspect therefore VP is trying to preserve for rebuilding East rather tan purely military.

Do we think that the Minerals and precious metals cycle will top out once there is the eventual peace in Ukraine. If so if £6 at a top out point or do the chartist think beyond ?.

If these scenarios arise I suspect Western markets will be closed off to Co, with major Russian interest / shareholders in the future. Why would Western exchanges be willing to list any new Russian related entities in the future.

Ultimately we need to know if EVR is seen as Russian Co. listed overseas. I suspect Mr Putin sees it that way even though the form would indicate otherwise, not a Sanctioned Co. ....... If Div not payable overseas then remaining question is how do you then sell the share ?. This is very much looking at downside but you cannot ignore possibility.

Gold i/ precious metals are a store of wealth. There will be buyers outside of Russia with other currencies. Your comment assumes no one else will buy. What about the oil, minerals.... China, India.... will be buying ! By the way going up in value so will offset higher cash burn

I have similar issue with EVR but suspended so could take a CGT hit on this unless i can Bed & ISA it very quickly once suspension lifted. Hopefully can move prior to divi

I jumped into this in limited way in ISA at c £2.60 having gone in on EVR at C 80p in larger volumes. With dip to £2 I doubled down so holding a few thousand at average £2.30. I think this will within this tax year be solid result and very good for those in sub £1.50. I think with EVR & POLY combined in ISA this could see a nice chunk of future value but aware of risk and balanced in wider portfolio (RIO / Glencore / L&G ...)

I was looking at interest rate point. Although interest rates have ticked up, the 5 year fixed rates are still incredibly low and actually below 2 year term in some cases. With housing shortage, landlords starting to buy back in (including institutions) I am staying in for the dividends right now. Market logic on fundamentals is not always linked.

Blackrock will be looking for 3 x return so not sure what they bought in for, but they will be all over this
